The Birth of a New World
Part 4
A day had passed since Mercury had dedicated himself to healing, with Venus by his side offering her aid and support. As they stood together, Mercury suddenly pointed downwards, his gaze fixed on a small, shadowy figure lurking beneath him. "Venus, look," he said, his voice low and curious. Venus followed Mercury's gaze, and her eyes widened as she too spotted the small, dark shape. As they watched, the shape moved further into their vision, and its features began to take form. Mercury and Venus exchanged a curious glance, and then their eyes returned to the mysterious figure. As it drew closer, they saw that it was a tiny celestial body, no larger than a small moon. It had a rough, irregular surface, and one eye - for it seemed to have only one eye, the other being a large crater that gave it a strangely asymmetrical appearance. The cratered eye was reminiscent of Mimas, one of Saturn's moons, and Mercury and Venus couldn't help but wonder about the circumstances of this tiny body's birth. The tiny planetoid seemed to be drifting aimlessly, its movement slow and gentle. Venus, without hesitation, reached out with her gravitational forces and gently pulled the small body towards her. As it drew closer, she cradled it in her arms, admiring it with Mercury. "Look at it," Venus whispered, her voice full of wonder. "It's so small, so fragile. And yet, it seems to have a presence, a life of its own." Mercury nodded, his gaze fixed on the tiny planet. "I wonder where it came from," he said. "I thought Solara said the collision beneath my surface was just a small one." Venus's eyes met Mercury's, and they exchanged a thoughtful glance. "Perhaps this little one is a result of that collision," Venus suggested. "A new world, born from the chaos and destruction." As they gazed at the tiny planet, it suddenly looked up at them, its single eye shining with a curious light. Mercury and Venus felt a jolt of surprise, and then they smiled at each other, filled with a sense of wonder and excitement. "What shall we name it?" Venus asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Mercury thought for a moment, and then a smile spread across his face. "How about 'Nova'?" he suggested. "A new world, born from the depths of my surface." Venus nodded, and together they gazed at Nova, the tiny planet that had captured their hearts. As they stood there, cradling Nova in Venus's arms, they knew that their lives - and the lives of the entire solar system - were about to change in ways they could hardly imagine.
