**Chapter 50: A Leap of Faith**
Part 50
"Why should I trust you?" I asked aggressively, my eyes narrowing as I turned to face Dabi. He chuckled, a low, throaty sound, and leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees. "Ah, skepticism," he said, a smile playing on his lips. "I like it. It's healthy." He paused, his eyes glinting with amusement. "You should trust me because I've been watching you, and I know what's at stake here." I raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite myself. "What do you mean?" I asked, my voice a little softer. Dabi leaned back against the couch, a thoughtful expression on his face. "I mean that I know about Oslo," he said, his voice low and serious. "I know he's in trouble, and I know you care about him." I felt a surge of surprise, followed by a wave of curiosity. How did Dabi know about Oslo? And what did he mean by "trouble"? "What do you know?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. Dabi's eyes locked onto mine, and for a moment, I felt like he could see right through me. "I know that Oslo is involved with some people who aren't exactly... trustworthy," he said, his voice dripping with understatement. "And I know that you're the only one who can help him right now." I felt a shiver run down my spine as Dabi's words hung in the air. What did he mean? And how could I help Oslo? "Why me?" I asked, my voice shaking slightly. Dabi's smile returned, and this time, it was tinged with a hint of sadness. "Because, my dear, you have a certain... spark within you," he said, his voice low and husky. "A spark that can ignite change." I looked at him warily, unsure of what to make of his words. Was Dabi telling the truth, or was he just playing me? And what did he mean by "change"? "I need to know that I can trust you," I said, my voice firm. Dabi nodded, his eyes never leaving mine. "I understand," he said. "And I'm willing to prove it to you." He paused, a thoughtful expression on his face. "I'll tell you a secret," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "A secret that could put me in danger, but I think it's time you knew the truth." My heart skipped a beat as Dabi leaned forward, his eyes locked onto mine. What was he about to reveal? And would it change everything?
