**Chapter 3: Confrontation and Consequences**
Part 3
The sound of Mai's cries suddenly changed, becoming more pained and anguished, and Haruka's movements slowed to a stop. She froze, her body still pressed against Mai's, as she realized the extent of her actions. The room fell silent, except for Mai's labored breathing and muffled sobs. As Haruka pulled away from Mai, a look of horror crossed her face. She seemed to snap back to reality, realizing what she had just done. Her eyes widened as she took a step back, her face pale. The door to the bedroom burst open, and Yuu, Ruka, and Midori rushed in. Midori's eyes locked onto Haruka, and she quickly moved to grab her, holding her firmly in place. "Haruka, what have you done?" Midori asked, her voice firm but concerned. Yuu rushed to Mai's side, helping her sit up and gathering her into a gentle hug. Mai's body shook with sobs as Yuu tried to comfort her. Ruka stood frozen, her eyes taking in the scene before her. She looked at Haruka, then at Mai, and finally at Yuu and Midori. Haruka, still reeling from what she had just done, suddenly broke free from Midori's grip. She turned and stormed out of the room, out of the house, and into the night. The others watched as she disappeared into the darkness, the sound of her car starting up and speeding away the only indication of her departure. The room fell silent once again, the only sound Mai's quiet sobs and Yuu's gentle whispers of comfort. Midori's eyes met Ruka's, and for a moment, they just looked at each other, the weight of the situation hanging in the air. "What are we going to do?" Ruka asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Midori's expression was grim. "We'll deal with Haruka later. Right now, let's focus on Mai."
