**A Dark Day in the City**

Part 1

I couldn't believe what had just happened. Hange, the Dragon Emperor and my boyfriend, and I had gotten into a fight. It was a stupid argument, but it had left me feeling hurt and vulnerable. My brain injury made me more sensitive, and I often acted like a child when I was upset. I needed some space, so I left the palace and came to the city to cool down. As I walked down the street, I felt tears welling up in my eyes. I was still fuming from our fight, and I just wanted to be alone. But before I could find a quiet spot to collect myself, a hand reached out and grabbed me from behind. I tried to struggle, but he was too strong. He dragged me into a dark alley and started beating me. I cried and screamed, but no one came to help. The next thing I knew, I was on the ground, and he was on top of me. I felt a searing pain, and my world went dark. I was vaguely aware of him stripping me, and then everything went black. When I came to, I was in a hospital bed, surrounded by beeping machines and sterile white walls. I was crying uncontrollably, and my body ached all over. But the worst pain was in my...I couldn't think about it. I just couldn't. The police had found me and called Hange. I could hear the commotion outside my room, and then the door burst open. Hange rushed in, his face etched with worry and concern. He ran to my side and took in the sight of me, trembling and crying on the hospital bed. "My princess," he whispered, his voice cracking with emotion. "I'm so sorry. If we hadn't argued, none of this would have happened." I looked up at him, my eyes streaming with tears. I was scared, and I didn't know what to do. My brain injury made it hard for me to process things, and this trauma was too much for me to handle. I regressed, becoming a child again, unable to cope with what had happened. Hange gently took my hand in his, and I held on tight. His hand was veiny and strong, and it was the only thing that made me feel safe. "Hange, please stay with me," I whispered, my voice shaking. "I'm scared." Hange's face crumpled, and he pulled me into a gentle hug. "I'm not going anywhere, my princess," he whispered. "I'll stay with you forever. You're safe now." He held me close, stroking my hair and whispering soothing words in my ear. As I held him, I felt a tiny spark of comfort. But the pain and trauma still lingered, and I knew it would take a long time to heal. I just hoped that with Hange by my side, I could make it through this dark time.
