A Moment of Vulnerability
Part 113
As we pulled back from our group hug, Deku's eyes locked onto mine, his expression still etched with concern. Kaminari, Kirishima, and Todoroki stepped forward, their faces filled with worry. "Hey, are you okay?" Deku asked, his voice soft and gentle. Kaminari nodded in agreement, his eyes scanning my face. "Yeah, did they do anything to you?" Todoroki's jaw was clenched, his eyes narrowed slightly as he waited for my response. I took a deep breath, trying to reassure them. "I'm fine, yeah. I'm okay." The group seemed to relax slightly at my words, but Kirishima's expression remained skeptical. "They didn't hurt you, right?" he asked, his voice laced with a hint of accusation. I hesitated, my eyes dropping to the ground. I didn't want to relive the memories, didn't want to think about what had happened. But Kirishima's question hung in the air, waiting for a response. I stayed silent, my eyes fixed on the floor, unsure of how to answer. Bakugo, standing beside us, cleared his throat, his eyes flicking to mine before returning to Kirishima. The silence stretched out, heavy with unspoken emotions. Deku's hand on my arm was a gentle reminder that I wasn't alone, that they were there for me. Kirishima's eyes narrowed, his face set in a determined expression. "We need to know what happened," he said, his voice low and even. "We can't just ignore it and move on." I took a deep breath, trying to gather my thoughts. But before I could respond, Bakugo spoke up, his voice cutting through the tension. "Let's just get some rest, okay? We can talk about it in the morning." The group nodded, seeming to accept Bakugo's suggestion. But I knew that this wasn't the end of it. Kirishima's question still lingered, and I knew that eventually, I would have to face it head-on.
