**Chapter 3: A Lucky Rescue**
Part 3
Days turned into an eternity as Iduna lay on the rocky shore, her body numb and her spirit crushed. She had lost all sense of time, and her only comfort was the occasional cry of seagulls overhead. The queen had given up hope of being rescued, resigning herself to the possibility of spending the rest of her days on the desolate island. But fate had other plans. In the distance, Iduna spotted a small fishing boat making its way towards the island. She struggled to her feet, waving her arms wildly as the boat drew closer. The fishermen, a grizzled old man and his son, peered at her with a mixture of curiosity and concern. As the boat reached the shore, Iduna stumbled towards it, her legs weak from days of exposure to the elements. The old man and his son helped her aboard, concern etched on their faces. "Where are you from, lass?" the old man asked, his voice gruff but kind. Iduna hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. "Arendelle," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "I was traveling with my husband, King Agnarr. Our ship... it wrecked." The old man's expression turned somber. "I'm sorry to hear that, Your Majesty. We'll take you back to Arendelle straight away." Iduna nodded, tears welling up in her eyes as she gazed out at the sea. She knew that Agnarr was gone, and that she would have to face her daughters alone. The journey back to Arendelle was a blur of emotions, Iduna's mind reeling with grief and shock. As the boat approached the castle, she saw Elsa and Anna standing on the shore, their faces etched with worry. The queen's daughters rushed to her side, embracing her tightly as she stepped off the boat. "Mother!" Elsa exclaimed, her voice trembling. Iduna held them close, tears streaming down her face. "I'm so sorry, my dear children. I was so scared... and Agnarr... he's gone." Anna's eyes widened, and she looked up at Iduna with a mix of sadness and concern. "What happened, Mother?" Iduna took a deep breath, trying to compose herself. "The ship wrecked, and... and Agnarr didn't make it." Elsa's face crumpled, and she buried her face in Iduna's shoulder. "We're so sorry, Mother." As the three of them hugged, Iduna knew that she had to be strong for her daughters. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for the challenges ahead. The days that followed were a whirlwind of activity, as Iduna struggled to come to terms with her loss and adjust to life without Agnarr. But with her daughters by her side, she found the strength to carry on. As they walked towards the castle, Iduna noticed a flurry of activity among the staff. Servants scurried about, preparing for a diplomatic visit from the Southern Isles. Iduna's heart sank, knowing that she would have to put on a brave face and attend the visit in Agnarr's place. But for now, she just wanted to be with her daughters, to comfort them and to grieve with them. The future would have to wait; for now, Iduna just wanted to be with her family. As they entered the castle, Iduna was greeted by the familiar sights and sounds of home. But amidst the chaos, one thing was clear: she was determined to protect her daughters and keep them safe, no matter what the future held.
