Chapter 10: A Desperate Cry for Help
Part 10
The days passed, and Iduna could see the toll that Hans's past was taking on him. The weight of his memories seemed to bear down on him, and Iduna knew that she had to find a way to help him heal. She had taken him to see the best doctors in Arendelle, but they couldn't seem to find a way to reach him, to help him overcome the trauma that he had suffered. As they rode through the streets of Arendelle, Iduna noticed that Hans seemed distant, lost in thought. She reached out and took his hand, trying to bring him back to the present. But Hans just shook his head, his eyes welling up with tears. "I'm sorry, Your Majesty," he said, his voice cracking. "I just can't seem to shake this feeling of emptiness." Iduna's heart went out to him, and she pulled him into a hug. "You're not alone, Hans," she said. "I'm here for you, and I'll do everything in my power to help you heal." But despite her best efforts, Hans's emotions continued to spiral out of control. He became withdrawn and isolated, pushing Iduna and her daughters away. Iduna knew that she had to find a way to reach him, to help him confront his demons. One day, Iduna found Hans in his room, his wrists slashed and bleeding. She rushed to his side, applying pressure to the wounds and trying to calm him down. But Hans just shook his head, his eyes filled with despair. "I'm sorry, Your Majesty," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I just can't seem to escape the pain." Iduna's heart sank, and she felt a surge of anger towards King Westergaard. She couldn't believe that he could be so cruel to his own son. With the help of the castle staff, Iduna managed to get Hans into a straight jacket, and he was taken away to a quiet room in the castle. Iduna followed him, her heart heavy with sorrow. As she looked at Hans, she knew that she had to find a way to reach him, to help him heal. She couldn't just leave him locked away, unable to escape his pain. Iduna sat down beside him, taking his hand in hers. "Hans, I'm here for you," she said. "I'll do everything in my power to help you heal. But you have to let me in, you have to let me help you." Hans looked up at her, his eyes filled with tears. "I'm sorry, Your Majesty," he said. "I just don't know if I can do this." Iduna smiled, her heart full of love and compassion. "You don't have to do it alone, Hans," she said. "I'm here for you, and I'll be with you every step of the way." As she sat there, Iduna knew that she had to find a way to help Hans heal. She couldn't just leave him locked away, unable to escape his pain. She took a deep breath, and then she made a decision. She called for the castle staff to bring her a sedative, and then she carefully removed the straight jacket from Hans's body. She held him close, whispering words of comfort in his ear. As the sedative took effect, Hans began to calm down, his body relaxing in Iduna's arms. She held him close, feeling a sense of peace wash over her. And as she looked at Hans, she knew that she had made the right decision. She was going to help him heal, no matter what it took. The next morning, Iduna woke up early, determined to help Hans in any way she could. She called for the castle staff to bring her a basin of warm water and some towels. As she gently washed Hans's face and body, he began to stir, his eyes fluttering open. Iduna smiled, her heart full of love and compassion. "Good morning, Hans," she said. "How are you feeling?" Hans looked up at her, his eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Your Majesty," he said. "I feel a little better." Iduna smiled, her heart full of hope. She knew that Hans still had a long way to go, but she was determined to be there for him, every step of the way. As she finished the sponge bath, Iduna felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that she had found a new purpose in life, to help Hans heal and find happiness. And as she looked at Hans, she knew that she had made the right decision. She was going to help him overcome his trauma, and she was going to be there for him, no matter what. With a newfound sense of determination, Iduna helped Hans get dressed and ready for the day. She knew that the road to recovery would be long and difficult, but she was ready to face it head-on, as long as Hans was by her side. As they walked out of the room, Iduna felt a sense of hope that she hadn't felt in a long time. She knew that Hans still had a long way to go, but she was confident that with her help, he could overcome his past and find a brighter future.
