Chapter 4: Shattered Reality The world around Raeily began to distort, like a painting smeared by a wet brush. She felt a strange sensation wash over her, as if she was being pulled apart and put back together again. The last thing she remembered was Riku's warm breath against her ear, and the gentle pressure of his arms around her. When her vision cleared, Raeily found herself standing in a desolate, empty space. There was no sign of Riku, no box, no necklace. The air was thick with an eerie silence, and the ground beneath her feet seemed to be made of a substance that felt almost like quicksand. Panic set in as Raeily frantically scanned her surroundings, but there was nothing to see. No walls, no ceiling, just an endless expanse of nothingness. She called out for Riku, but her voice was swallowed by the void. As she stood there, frozen with fear, Raeily began to wonder if it had all been a dream. As she waited for something, or someone, to emerge from the void, Raeily realized that she had no idea what lay ahead.
