A Royal Proposition

Part 3

The King's eyes twinkled with amusement as he turned to Levi, a sly smile spreading across his face. "Captain Levi," he said, his voice low and serious. Levi's eyes snapped to attention, his expression neutral. "Yes, sir?" he replied, his voice firm. The King's smile grew wider as he leaned forward, his elbows resting on the armrests of his throne. "I have a question for you, Captain," he said, his eyes glinting with curiosity. "Are you married or in a relationship?" Levi's eyebrows shot up, surprised by the King's inquiry. "No, sir," he replied, his voice steady. The King's eyes lit up with interest, and he nodded thoughtfully. "How old are you, Captain?" he asked, his voice filled with a calculating tone. Levi's expression remained neutral, but a hint of wariness crept into his voice. "22, sir," he replied, his eyes narrowing slightly. The King's eyes sparkled with amusement as he nodded, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Mmh," he murmured, his eyes drifting to Kenzy, who was chatting with Hange and Erwin. "How about you and Kenzy get married?" he suggested, his voice casual, as if discussing a trivial matter. The room fell silent, with all eyes on the King and Levi. Levi's eyes widened in shock, his face frozen in surprise. He felt as if he had been punched in the gut, his mind reeling with the King's proposal. Kenzy's eyes snapped to Levi's, her face flushed with surprise, and Hange's mouth dropped open in astonishment. Erwin's eyes narrowed, his expression thoughtful, while Dot Pixis looked on with interest. Levi's eyes locked onto the King's, his expression incredulous. "Sir?" he stammered, unsure of how to respond to the King's sudden suggestion. The King chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I think it would be a good match, Captain," he said, his voice filled with conviction. "Kenzy is a strong and capable young woman, and I believe you two would complement each other well." Levi's face remained frozen, his mind racing with the implications of the King's proposal. He had never considered marriage, let alone to a woman he had just met. He glanced at Kenzy, who was watching him with a mixture of surprise and curiosity. As the room held its breath, awaiting Levi's response, he felt a sense of unease wash over him. He had a feeling that his life was about to take a dramatic turn, one that he was not prepared for.
