"Blood in the Rain"

Part 2

The warmth of the moment was shattered as the sound of shattering glass echoed through the room, followed by the crunch of splintered wood. Emma and Ryan's eyes snapped open, their peaceful reverie disrupted by the sudden and violent intrusion. The string lights flickered and died, plunging the room into darkness. At first, they thought it was just a stray branch or a strong gust of wind that had broken the window, but as they listened, they heard the sound of heavy footsteps, labored breathing, and the unmistakable crunch of boots on the floor. The rain pattering against the walls seemed to grow louder, as if it too was trying to warn them of the impending danger. Ryan's instincts kicked in, and he quickly pushed Emma behind him, his eyes scanning the dark room for any sign of movement. That's when they saw him, a towering figure in a worn and tattered hockey mask, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly intensity in the dark. Emma's voice trembled as she whispered, "Oh my god, it's... it's Jason Voorhees." Ryan's grip on her tightened as he pulled her closer, but it was too late. Jason's machete sliced through the air, its blade biting deep into Ryan's chest. He let out a blood-curdling scream as he stumbled backward, his eyes wide with shock and pain. Emma tried to run, but her feet felt heavy, as if rooted to the spot. Jason's gaze locked onto hers, and he took a step closer, his machete raised high. She tried to scream, but her voice was frozen in her throat. The last thing Emma saw was Ryan's lifeless body slumping to the floor, his eyes staring blankly into hers. Then, Jason's machete came crashing down, and everything went black. The rain continued to fall outside, a morbid serenade to the carnage that had just unfolded in the small room. The darkness was absolute, and the only sound was the heavy breathing of the killer, and the soft gurgle of Ryan's lifeblood as it flowed onto the floor. The happy couple's idyllic evening had turned into a nightmare, and now, they were nothing more than two more victims of Jason Voorhees' brutal wrath.
