"Desperate Labor"

Part 14

Ashley's eyes flew open as a searing pain ripped through her lower abdomen, making her gasp for breath. She was met with a wave of warm liquid flooding down her legs, and her heart sank as she realized she was bleeding. She tried to move, to sit up, but her wrists and ankles were bound to the bed by thick straps. Panic set in as she frantically tugged at the restraints, but they wouldn't budge. The cramping intensified, and Ashley let out a loud cry as she felt another contraction wash over her. She was 28 weeks pregnant, and she knew that this couldn't be happening. The babies were too early, they weren't ready to come yet. But as she looked down at her belly, she saw that it was contracting, tightening and releasing in a rhythmic pattern that made her feel like she was going to tear apart. The door to the box room burst open, and Kody stormed in, his face twisted in anger. "What's going on?" he demanded, his eyes scanning the room before landing on Ashley. Ashley tried to speak, but all that came out was a sob. She was in so much pain, and she was scared, and she knew that she was losing her babies. "It's too early," Kody snarled, his face inches from hers. "You will not have them yet. I will not let you." Ashley felt a wave of hysteria wash over her as Kody's words registered. He was going to try and stop the labor, to keep her pregnant against her will. But as she looked up at him, she saw the desperation in his eyes, the fear that he was losing control. Kody's face contorted in a snarl as he reached out and grabbed Ashley's belly. "I will shove them back up if I have to," he hissed, his fingers digging deep into her skin. Ashley screamed as Kody's grip tightened, and she felt a wave of pain wash over her. She knew that she had to get away from him, to get free, but she was trapped, tied to the bed with no way to escape. The babies were coming, and Ashley was powerless to stop it. As the contractions intensified, Ashley felt herself being pulled under, pulled into a world of pain and fear. She knew that she was running out of time, that she had to get out of this room, to get help, but for now, she was trapped, at the mercy of a man who seemed to have no limits.
