**Chapter 8: The Hypnosis Broken**

Part 8

The air was thick with tension as Jack faced off against Ryota and his men. Jack's heart pounded in his chest, but he stood his ground, his eyes locked onto Ryota's. He knew that he had to break the hypnosis that had controlled his mother for so long, and he was determined to do whatever it took to free her. Ryota sneered at Jack, his eyes flashing with anger. "You think you can defeat me?" he spat. "I am the leader of the yakuza, and you are just a foolish child." Jack didn't flinch. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small device, a hypnosis disruptor that he had obtained from a specialist. He had been hoping to avoid using it, but now he knew it was necessary. As Jack activated the device, a high-pitched whine filled the air, making everyone's ears ache. Akari's eyes flickered, and she stumbled, her hand reaching out to Ryota for support. But Ryota's grip on her was like a vice, and he held her tight. The device emitted a powerful frequency, one that was designed to disrupt the hypnosis that had controlled Akari for so long. Jack watched as his mother's eyes began to clear, her expression changing from one of adoration to confusion. Akari's eyes locked onto Jack's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Jack could see the recognition dawning in her eyes, the memories of her past life as Emily flooding back. As the hypnosis was lifted, Akari's body began to relax, her muscles releasing the tension that had held her captive for so long. She took a step back, her eyes never leaving Jack's face. "Emily," Jack whispered, taking a step forward. "Mom." Akari's eyes filled with tears, and she stumbled towards Jack, her arms opening wide. Jack caught her, holding her tight as she buried her face in his chest. "I'm so sorry," she whispered, her voice shaking. "I didn't know... I didn't remember." Jack held her, trying to comfort her as she cried. He knew that she had been through a lot, and he was just grateful to have her back. Ryota's face twisted in anger, and he took a step forward, his men moving to surround them. But Jack didn't back down, his arms still wrapped around his mother. "We're leaving," he said, his voice firm. "And we're not coming back." As they turned to leave, Jack could feel Akari's eyes on him, her gaze filled with a mixture of confusion and gratitude. He knew that she had a lot to process, and he was determined to be there for her every step of the way. The sound of sirens echoed through the streets, growing louder with each passing moment. Jack knew that the police had arrived, responding to a tip about the yakuza organization's activities. Ryota's men began to scatter, trying to avoid capture. Ryota himself was not so lucky. He was surrounded by police, his arms raised in surrender. Jack watched as he was taken away, a sense of justice finally being served. As they walked away from the yakuza organization's headquarters, Jack held his mother's hand, trying to help her process everything that had happened. They were finally free, and they could start rebuilding their lives together. But as they walked, Jack couldn't help but wonder what the future held for his mother. Would she be able to adjust to life back in America, or would she always carry a piece of her past with her? Only time would tell.
