**Chapter 3: The Reality of Protection**
Part 3
The hours flew by in a blur as Hyunjin pushed himself to his limits in the training room. Jisung had been right, the session was a test of his physical abilities, as well as his combat skills. Bangchan had watched him with a critical eye, occasionally offering words of encouragement or correction. As the training session finally came to an end, Bangchan nodded at Hyunjin. "Good job, you've done well. But now, it's time for a break. I'm starving. Why don't you go make something to eat in the kitchen? I'm sure you're hungry too." Hyunjin nodded, still catching his breath. He followed Jisung's earlier directions and made his way to the kitchen, located down the hall from the training room. As he entered the kitchen, he was greeted by the warm aroma of freshly baked bread and the soft hum of the refrigerator. He opened the fridge and began to rummage through the shelves, searching for something simple to make. He settled on a few eggs, some bread, and cheese, and began to scramble the eggs and make a sandwich. Just as he was finishing up, he heard the sound of footsteps approaching. He turned to see Bangchan walking into the kitchen, a look of expectation on his face. "Ah, perfect timing," Bangchan said, his eyes scanning the kitchen until they landed on the sandwich Hyunjin had made. "I'm starving. What's that you've made?" Hyunjin hesitated for a moment before answering, "It's just a sandwich, sir." Bangchan's eyes lit up, and he strode over to the counter, snatching the sandwich out of Hyunjin's hands. "Great, I'll take it," he said, taking a big bite of the sandwich. Hyunjin's eyes widened in surprise as Bangchan devoured his lunch, not even acknowledging his presence, let alone thanking him for making it. "Um, sir?" Hyunjin ventured, trying to get Bangchan's attention. Bangchan looked up, his mouth still full of food. "Mmm-hmm?" Hyunjin tried again, "I, uh, I was going to eat that." Bangchan's expression didn't change, and he took another bite of the sandwich, chewing slowly before responding, "You're my bodyguard, not my chef. You shouldn't be eating on the job." Hyunjin felt a surge of frustration at Bangchan's actions, but he pushed it down, reminding himself of his role. He turned to make himself another sandwich, trying not to show his annoyance. As he worked, he couldn't help but wonder what other challenges lay ahead in his new role as Bangchan's bodyguard.
