A New Perspective

Part 70

I couldn't help but think about my friend Izuku Midoriya, or Deku as he was commonly known, and I felt a pang of worry in my chest. We had grown up together, and I had always admired his determination and spirit. I had heard that he was training hard to become a hero, and I couldn't help but feel a little concerned about his well-being. What if he got hurt? What if he couldn't handle the pressure? Just then, my parents approached me, noticing the look of concern on my face. "Hey, kiddo, what's wrong?" my mom asked, her eyes scanning my face with concern. I hesitated for a moment before speaking up. "I was just thinking about Deku," I said, referring to Izuku by his nickname. "I'm a bit worried about him." My parents exchanged a knowing glance, and my dad asked, "What about Deku? Is everything okay?" I took a deep breath before explaining, "I just know how much he wants to become a hero, and I'm scared that he might get hurt. He's always been so determined, but... but what if it's not enough?" My mom put a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "I'm sure Deku can take care of himself," she said gently. "He's a strong and capable person." I nodded, feeling a bit better, but still concerned. My parents smiled at me, and my mom asked, "By the way, how was your training today?" I grinned, feeling a sense of excitement. "It was great, Mom! I managed to improve my speed and agility." My dad beamed with pride. "That's our girl! You're getting stronger every day." I blushed, feeling happy and content. But then I realized that my parents might be confused. "Um, Mom, Dad?" I said hesitantly. "Yes, sweetie?" my mom replied. "I'm a girl," I said, trying to sound casual. My parents looked at each other in surprise, and then back at me. "Oh, we know," my dad said with a chuckle. "We've known for a while now." I laughed, feeling a bit relieved. "I wasn't sure if you did," I said, smiling. My mom smiled back at me. "Of course, we do. And we're proud of the strong and capable person you're becoming." I grinned, feeling happy and grateful for my parents' support. And as I looked at them, I knew that I would always be there for Deku, just as he had always been there for me.
