**Chapter 10: Morning After**
Part 10
The warm sunlight streaming through the windows gently roused Maya from her slumber. She stretched, feeling the soreness in her muscles from the previous night's activities. Brad, still wrapped around her, stirred, his eyes fluttering open. "Good morning," he whispered, his voice husky from sleep. Maya smiled, her heart skipping a beat. "Good morning," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. They lay there for a moment, wrapped in each other's arms, the remnants of their dessert still scattered around them. Brad finally stirred, getting out of bed to start the shower. Maya watched him, her eyes drinking in the sight of his naked body. She felt a surge of love and desire, and she knew that she was in trouble. She was falling deeply in love with him, and she wasn't sure if she was ready for the consequences. As Brad beckoned her into the shower, Maya got up, and stepped under the warm water. They washed each other, their hands roaming over each other's bodies, as they kissed and touched. After they showered, Brad wrapped Maya in a towel, and carried her downstairs to the kitchen. The sunlight streaming through the windows highlighted the messy state of the kitchen, with dishes and glasses still scattered from the previous night's dinner party. Brad set Maya down, and started making coffee, while Maya began clearing the dishes. As they worked, Megan walked into the kitchen, her eyes scanning the room with a mixture of surprise and curiosity. "Morning," she said, her voice neutral. Maya smiled, feeling a little self-conscious. "Morning," she replied. Brad turned around, a cup of coffee in his hand. "Morning," he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners. Megan's eyes narrowed, as she took in the sight of the messy kitchen, and the still rumpled state of Brad and Maya's clothes. "I see you two had a good night," she said, her voice dripping with innuendo. Maya felt a flush rise to her cheeks, as Brad chuckled, and handed her a cup of coffee. "We did," he said, his eyes sparkling with amusement. Megan raised an eyebrow. "I'm glad to see you're doing well, Brad," she said, her voice still neutral. "But I have to ask, what's going on with you two? Are you two a couple now?" Brad and Maya exchanged a glance, and for a moment, Maya felt a pang of uncertainty. Was she ready to define their relationship? But as she looked into Brad's eyes, she knew that she was ready to take the next step. "We're taking things one day at a time," Brad said, his voice calm. "But for now, we're just enjoying each other's company." Megan nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "I'm glad to see you happy, Brad," she said. "You deserve it." As Megan walked out of the kitchen, Maya felt a sense of relief wash over her. She knew that she still had a lot to learn about Brad, and their relationship was still in its early stages. But for now, she was just happy to be with him, and to see where their journey would take them.
