"Chaos in the Castle"

Part 2

A few days had passed since Princess Ayumi's arrival, and Zelda had grown accustomed to the Holodrumian's infectious enthusiasm. However, nothing could have prepared her for the chaos that erupted in the sitting room. As she entered the room, she was met with the sight of Ayumi and Link engrossed in a Japanese disaster movie, the screen displaying a catastrophic tsunami ravaging a coastal city. The Hyrulean hero's eyes were wide with excitement, while Ayumi cheered and jeered in equal measure. The room was filled with the sound of loud yelling and screaming, and Zelda's eyes widened as she took in the scene before her. Popcorn scattered everywhere, and Ayumi was on her feet, shouting at the screen as if she were part of the disaster unfolding on screen. Link, equally entranced, hurled popcorn at the screen, chanting "This is awesome!" in a tone that sent shivers down Zelda's spine. As the movie reached its climax, Ayumi leapt from her seat, shouting "This is it! This is the moment!" and Link followed suit, his eyes gleaming with excitement. But then, something changed. The scene on screen shifted to a gruesome and intense moment, where a giant monster emerged from the depths of the ocean and began to wreak havoc on a city. The sound effects were loud and jarring, and Ayumi's scream did not sound like a scream of joy. Zelda's eyes widened in alarm as Ayumi's face turned ashen, and Link's expression turned from excitement to sheer terror. The hero's eyes went wide, and he stumbled backward, tripping over his own feet. Zelda rushed to his side, concern etched on her face. "Link, are you alright?" she asked, but he just shook his head, still trying to process what he had just seen. Ayumi, still seated, turned to Zelda with a mixture of horror and excitement. "Oh my goodness, did you see that? The special effects are incredible!" Zelda's expression turned stern. "Ayumi, what is the meaning of this? I thought we agreed to watch something more... civilized." Ayumi turned to face Zelda, a defensive look on her face. "What's wrong with it? It's just a little excitement!" Zelda's voice rose. "Excitement? Link, here, has clearly had enough excitement for one lifetime! And as for you, Ayumi, I thought we discussed the finer points of Holodrumian culture, not... not cinematic depictions of mass destruction!" The room fell silent as Ayumi and Zelda locked eyes, the tension between them palpable. Link, still shaken, found himself between the two princesses, trying to mediate. "I-I think I need to go lie down," he muttered, backing away slowly. Ayumi's face turned red with indignation. "You can't handle a little disaster movie, Zelda? It's just a bit of fun!" Zelda's expression turned icy. "Fun? You call this fun? I call it... disturbing. And what, might I ask, is wrong with you, Ayumi? I thought you were a princess of refinement and culture, not some sort of... cinematic thrill-seeker!" The argument between the two princesses had only just begun, and Zelda had a feeling that this was going to be a long and trying day.
