Unlikely Nicknames and Unbridled Laughter

As I walked alongside Ochaco, Deku, and Bakugo, I couldn't help but chuckle to myself, remembering Dabi's dramatic outburst and his subsequent humiliation. Ochaco noticed my grin and playfully nudged me with her elbow. "Hey, Vesper dummy," she said with a smile, "what's so funny?" I shook my head, still chuckling. "No, call me Vesper, is all," I said, my laughter bursting out as I tried to correct her. Ochaco's eyes widened in surprise, and then she started laughing too. "What, you don't like the nickname?" she asked, her voice trembling with mirth. Deku and Bakugo exchanged a look, and then Deku asked, "Wait, so Vesper is your actual name?" I nodded, still grinning. "Yeah, that's my name. Just Vesper." Bakugo snorted. "Well, I think Vesper dummy sounds better." Ochaco playfully hit him on the arm. "Don't encourage him, Kacchan. Vesper seems like a perfectly fine name to me." As we continued walking, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that my nickname was already being phased out. It was a small thing, but it was a start. The group fell into a comfortable silence, with Ochaco and I occasionally exchanging smiles. Deku and Bakugo were deep in conversation, discussing their next move. After a while, Ochaco turned to me and asked, "So, Vesper, what do you think about Dabi?" I raised an eyebrow. "Dabi? He's just a hothead, I think. A bit too much pride and not enough self-control." Ochaco nodded thoughtfully. "I think you're right. But there's something about him that seems...off. Like there's more to him than meets the eye." I nodded in agreement. "I know what you mean. I've got a feeling that there's more to Dabi than we currently know." As we turned a corner, we stumbled upon a group of students gathered around a bulletin board. They were all chatting and pointing at something on the board. Ochaco's eyes lit up. "Hey, what's going on?" One of the students turned to us and grinned. "The school just announced a new tournament! It's going to be a big deal, with teams from all over the country competing." Deku's eyes widened in excitement. "That sounds amazing! I'm so in." Bakugo nodded, a determined look on his face. "We're going to crush it. We're the best team here." I just smiled and shook my head, feeling a sense of excitement building within me. It was going to be an interesting tournament, that was for sure.
