"Strumming a New Harmony"

Part 211

As I walked away from the impromptu concert, Mina's beaming smile still etched in my mind, I couldn't help but feel a sudden surge of excitement. I had been itching to try out a new song I had learned, one that featured an electrifying guitar solo that I was eager to master. I glanced around, my eyes scanning the room for my trusty electric guitar. "Hey, I'm going to go grab my guitar, guys," I called out to the group, already starting to make my way towards the storage room where I kept my instrument. Mina's eyes lit up with interest. "Ooh, are you going to play something new for us?" she asked, her voice filled with anticipation. I nodded, a grin spreading across my face. "Yeah, I just learned a new song and I want to try out the solo." Deku and Bakugo exchanged a look, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. "Don't expect us to be impressed, Vesper," Bakugo said, a hint of teasing in his voice. I chuckled, shaking my head. "We'll see about that," I said, winking at him as I continued on my way to retrieve my guitar. As I entered the storage room, I was greeted by the familiar sight of my guitar, leaning against the wall, its sleek body gleaming in the dim light. I picked it up, feeling a sense of comfort and familiarity as I settled the instrument into its usual position against my body. I plugged in my guitar and gave it a quick once-over, making sure everything was in working order. Satisfied, I made my way back to the main room, my fingers itching to start playing. The group was still chatting and laughing, but as I began to strum the opening chords of my new song, they quickly fell silent, their attention drawn to me. I took a deep breath, focusing on the music, and let my fingers dance across the fretboard. The notes flowed smoothly, building into a crescendo as I launched into the guitar solo. My fingers moved swiftly, the music pouring out of me like a river. I closed my eyes, letting the music wash over me, and felt my worries and doubts melt away. As I finished the solo, I opened my eyes to find the group staring at me in awe, their faces filled with appreciation and admiration. Even Bakugo looked impressed, a small smile playing on his lips. Mina, however, was beaming with excitement, her eyes shining with enthusiasm. "That was amazing, Vesper!" she exclaimed, clapping her hands together in delight. I grinned, feeling a sense of satisfaction and pride. Maybe, just maybe, I had finally found a way to harmonize my music with my life.
