**Chapter 66: Unveiling the Truth**
Part 66
Mitsuba groaned, shrugging Kou's hand off his shoulder. "Just leave me alone, it isn't a big deal!" he yelled, his voice cracking with emotion. Kou's eyes widened in surprise, and he took a step back, his hand still extended as if to steady Mitsuba. "Yes, it is!" he replied, his voice rising to match Mitsuba's. "You're telling me something huge, and you're just trying to brush it off like it's nothing?" Mitsuba's face reddened, and he sat up straight, his eyes flashing with defensiveness. "It isn't a big deal! I just... I just wanted to tell someone, okay?" He crossed his arms over his chest, his jaw set in a stubborn line. Kou's expression turned incredulous. "That's not the point! The point is that you just revealed something major about yourself, and you're not even taking it seriously?" He shook his head, his voice growing louder. "It is a big deal, Mitsuba. And you can't just expect me to accept it without even talking about it." Mitsuba's face twisted in frustration. "I'm telling you, it's not a big deal! Just drop it, Kou." But Kou wasn't having it. "Why do you think it isn't a big deal?" Kou asked, his voice sharp with curiosity. "What's your problem, Mitsuba?" Mitsuba's eyes darted around the room, as if searching for an escape route. But then, his gaze locked onto Kou's, and he took a deep breath. The words tumbled out of his mouth in a rush, and Kou's eyes widened in shock. "It's because I'm in love with you, Kou!" Mitsuba yelled, his voice trembling with fear and vulnerability. He looked like he was about to collapse, as if he'd just revealed a secret that could change everything. The air was thick with tension as Kou's eyes locked onto Mitsuba's. He was shocked, taken aback by the depth of Mitsuba's emotions. He didn't know what to say, how to react. All he could do was stare at Mitsuba, his mind reeling with the implications of what he'd just been told.
