Rekindled Passion
Part 15
As they lay in bed, wrapped in each other's arms, the warmth of their bodies and the excitement of their lovemaking still lingering, Daisy turned to David with a mischievous glint in her eye. "David, can I ask you something?" she said, her voice husky and seductive. David looked at her, his eyes sparkling with interest. "Anything," he said, his voice low and encouraging. Daisy's eyes locked onto his, and she took a deep breath. "Can we...can we do it without protection?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. David's expression changed, his eyes narrowing slightly as he considered her request. They had been using condoms since Emily's birth, and while Daisy was no longer breastfeeding, they had discussed getting back on the pill or using other forms of birth control, but they hadn't made any decisions yet. "I don't know, Dais," David said, his voice cautious. "We're not really protected right now. Are you ready to get pregnant again?" Daisy's face fell, and she looked away, her eyes drifting towards the ceiling. She had been on the pill before Emily, but they had stopped using it when she got pregnant. They had discussed getting back on it, but they hadn't made any decisions yet. David reached out and gently turned her face back to his. "Hey, it's okay," he said, his voice softening. "We can talk about this. But I need to know what you're thinking. Are you ready to try for another baby?" Daisy hesitated, her eyes searching his face. She wasn't sure, she thought. She loved Emily, and she was grateful for the little girl, but she wasn't sure if she was ready to go through pregnancy and parenthood again so soon. "I...I don't know," she said finally, her voice uncertain. David nodded, his eyes understanding. "That's okay," he said. "We can take our time. But just so we're clear, if we don't use protection, there's a chance we could get pregnant again." Daisy nodded, her eyes locked onto his. She knew that, of course. But as she looked at David, she felt a surge of desire and love for him. She wanted to be with him, without protection, without barriers between them. "Let's just...let's just try," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. David's eyes searched hers, and for a moment, they just looked at each other, the tension between them palpable. Then, slowly, David nodded. "Okay," he said, his voice low and husky. "But if we do this, we have to be careful. We have to make sure we're ready for whatever happens." Daisy nodded, her heart racing with excitement and a little bit of fear. She knew that this was a risk, but she was willing to take it, for David, for herself, and for their love.
