"Day of Unwellness"
Part 1
Tokyo trudged through the doors of the Banco de España, her usual fiery spirit dimmed by a growing sense of unease. She had been feeling off all day, a nagging fatigue that clung to her like a bad omen. At first, she had brushed it off as exhaustion, but as the hours dragged on, she couldn't shake the creeping feeling that something was wrong. As she made her way to her station, her colleagues couldn't help but notice her subpar performance. "Tokyo, what's going on?" Palermo whispered, as she struggled to focus on the task at hand. Tokyo forced a weak smile, not wanting to alarm anyone. "Just a bit...tired, that's all." The rest of the day was a blur of half-hearted attempts at work and furtive glances at her watch, willing the hands to move faster so she could get out of there. Finally, 5 PM rolled around, and Tokyo hastily gathered her things and made a beeline for the exit. As she stepped out into the cool evening air, she felt a wave of relief wash over her, but it was short-lived. A sudden wave of dizziness hit her, and she stumbled, catching herself on a nearby lamppost. What was going on with her? She was the picture of health, always ready for the next heist, the next adventure. Not...this. Somehow, she made it back to her apartment, fumbling with her keys and stumbling through the door. As she collapsed onto the couch, she heard the sound of the door opening behind her. "Hey, love," a soft voice said, and Tokyo's heart swelled as she saw you standing in the doorway, a look of concern etched on your face. You had been her rock, her partner in every sense of the word. Tokyo's eyes fluttered closed as you approached her, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. Your hands were cool and gentle as you touched her forehead, checking her temperature. "You feel hot," you said, your brow furrowed in worry. Tokyo nodded, too weak to respond. You helped her sit up and took her temperature, fussing over her like a mother hen. Tokyo smiled weakly, enjoying the attention. As you worked, your fingers brushed against hers, sending a spark of electricity through her body. She loved the way you took care of her, the way you always knew exactly what she needed. "I'm fine," Tokyo protested, but you just gave her a stern look. "You don't look fine," you said, fetching a blanket to wrap around her shoulders. "You look like you need a night in bed, with me taking care of you." Tokyo let out a soft sigh, feeling her eyelids droop. She knew she was in good hands with you. As the warmth of the blanket enveloped her, she snuggled into your side, letting the softness of your presence wash over her... Now it's your turn to continue the story. What would you like to happen next?
