**Chapter 3: The Web of Deception**
Part 3
The room remained silent, the only sound the soft hum of the screen as Nick Fury continued to present his briefing on Yelena. The footage showed her taking down a group of men with ease, her swordwork a blur of steel and precision. Fury's voice cut through the silence, "As you can see, Yelena's skills with a sword are unmatched. But what's even more impressive is her ability to adapt and think on her feet." The footage shifted to show Yelena fighting 150 men, her movements fluid and calculated. She appeared behind them, and the men froze. Yelena slowly sheathed her blade, and when it clicked into place, their bodies bisected neatly. The Avengers watched in awe, their eyes glued to the screen as more footage was shown. Yelena took down a shield strike team without using her katana, her hands and feet moving in a blur of motion. The scene was intense, the sound of clashing steel and grunting men filling the room. Fury continued, "We've also seen her take down opponents with nothing but her martial arts skills. She's a master of hand-to-hand combat, and her precision is unmatched." The footage showed Yelena's elegant, fast sword strikes, each one aimed at a precise location. Natasha's eyes narrowed as she watched the footage, her mind racing with the implications of Yelena's skills. She had seen Yelena in action before, and she knew that the woman was a force to be reckoned with. The room was quiet, the only sound the soft hum of the screen. Fury brought up footage of Mockingbird's mission to catch Yelena. The scene showed Yelena lazily blocking and dodging Mockingbird's attacks. The scary thing was that Yelena hadn't moved from her spot, and she only used one hand. Yelena smiled at Mockingbird, "Not bad, Morse." The Avengers were impressed, but Fury wasn't finished. He showed footage of Yelena's genius-level intellect, surpassing Tony Stark's. Her tactical genius had no equal, and the scary thing was that she was only human, with no powers or enhancements. Evidence was shown of Yelena's intelligence, how she built tech and weapons that vastly surpassed Tony's. The footage of her elegant, flawless planning was awe-inspiring. Yelena's ability to think several steps ahead of her opponents was unmatched. Fury made it clear, "Yelena doesn't need powers at all. Given enough time, she could conquer the world without needing to use force or violence." Natasha sighed, knowing the truth. She remembered how Yelena dismantled an elite team without using force, only her mind. The most dangerous thing about Yelena wasn't her skills; it was her mind. Natasha pointed out, "Knowing Yelena, she has built countermeasures to us." Natasha knew she was right, as she pointed out she had seen Yelena easily manipulate the law and people with just what she could find in their homes. She knew this because Yelena was a master of the mind and what made people tick. The screen flickered, and words were hacked onto the screen, "I want Natasha. That's all." The words changed, "Remember Natasha, you are mine. And it's time you are where you belong, and that's with me, moy lyubimyy." The screen changed to Yelena's beautiful face. She smiled, "Hello, Avengers." Yelena said calmly and politely, "Natasha comes with me. She can still help you and everything. But she lives with me now. I'll even throw you a bone. I'll give you equipment created by yours truly." Without another word, Natasha decided to go. A portal opened up to Yelena, and she was waiting. Yelena assured Natasha, "As long as I have you, I will not be a threat." As Natasha stepped through the portal, she knew that her life would never be the same. She was leaving behind the Avengers, the team she had called home for so long. But she was also stepping into a new life, one with Yelena. The scene faded to black, leaving the Avengers stunned and Natasha walking through the portal, towards a new life with Yelena. The web of deception had been spun, and Natasha was now a part of it. She had no idea what lay ahead, but she was ready to face it, as long as she was with Yelena.
