As the hours ticked by, Rachel and Eric continued to monitor the conditions of Jake and Ethan, the two new patients suspected of having the Nova Virus. They had set up separate isolation rooms for each of them, and were working tirelessly to understand the virus and find a cure. Rachel walked into Jake's isolation room, where he was lying on his bed, looking calmer than he had earlier. "The drooling could be a sign of the virus affecting the nervous system." Meanwhile, in Ethan's isolation room, the baby's condition had also taken a turn for the worse. He was no longer able to breathe on his own, and his parents were frantic with worry. Rachel rushed into Ethan's room, her heart racing with concern. "We need to intubate him, now," she said to the nurse, who quickly sprang into action. As they worked to stabilize Ethan, Rachel couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
