Juice and Judgments
Part 10
The next day, Ellie-mae walked into the juice bar with her friends Emily, Lillie, Chloe, and Amy, all chatting and laughing as they took their seats at a small table. The atmosphere was lively, with the sound of blenders whirring and the hum of conversation filling the air. "Okay, so I've been thinking," Ellie-mae said, sipping on a colorful drink. "We need to establish some rules for e-girls." "Totally," Emily agreed. "Like, no excessive use of filters. That's just fake." "And no drama posting on social media," Lillie added. "We don't want to be those girls who air their dirty laundry online." Chloe nodded in agreement. "And no begging for likes or followers. That's just cringeworthy." Amy pulled out her phone and started typing on a notes app. "I'm making a list. 'No excessive use of filters, no drama posting, no begging for likes or followers...' What else?" The girls continued to brainstorm, discussing their rules for what it meant to be an e-girl. Meanwhile, in the back of the juice bar, Hunter, Max, and Daniel sat at a table, trying to stifle their giggles. "Oh my god, they're so extra," Hunter whispered, nodding towards the girls. "I know, right?" Max replied, chuckling. "E-girl rules? Who comes up with this stuff?" Daniel snorted. "I'm sure it's just a bunch of arbitrary rules to make themselves feel better." The three guys continued to mock the girls, making snide comments about their hair, clothes, and interests. Ellie-mae and her friends, oblivious to the ridicule, were still engrossed in their discussion. "And no flirting with guys online," Chloe said firmly. "That's just tacky." "Totally," Emily agreed. "We want to be respected, not objectified." As the girls continued to chat, Hunter, Max, and Daniel couldn't help but overhear. They exchanged a look, and Daniel raised an eyebrow. "You think they're for real?" he asked, his voice low. Hunter shrugged. "No idea, but it's definitely entertaining." The three guys clinked their cups together in a silent toast, enjoying the show as the girls continued to discuss their e-girl rules. Little did they know, their conversation was about to take an unexpected turn.
