"A Desperate Cry for Help"
Part 5
Izuku walked home, lost in thought, his mind replaying the events of the day. The mocking words of Bakugo still lingered in his mind, making him feel like a failure. As he turned a corner, he noticed a strange, gooey substance oozing from the ground. Before he could react, a sludge monster burst out from behind him, its slimy tentacles wrapping around his waist. Izuku tried to scream, but his voice was muffled, as if his vocal cords were frozen. The sludge monster lifted him off the ground, and Izuku's eyes widened in terror. He struggled to break free, but it was too strong. As the monster's grip tightened, Izuku's vision began to blur, and he passed out. When Izuku came to, he found himself in a dark alleyway, surrounded by tall buildings. The air was thick with the smell of exhaust fumes and garbage. As he sat up, he noticed a figure standing in front of him. It was All Might, the greatest hero of all time, the one he had admired his whole life. All Might smiled warmly and said, "Hello there, young one. My name is Toshinori Yagi, but you can call me All Might." Izuku's eyes widened in awe as All Might offered him a gentle smile. The two of them talked for a bit, and Izuku felt like he was on cloud nine. But as their conversation came to a close, Izuku asked the question that had been on his mind for so long: "Can I be a hero?" All Might's expression turned somber, and he let out a deep sigh. "Sorry, kid, but you can't." Izuku's world came crashing down around him. He felt like he had been punched in the gut. But then, he remembered my words: "You can be a hero, I believe in you." The phrase echoed in his mind, giving him a glimmer of hope. Just as All Might turned to leave, the sludge monster that had almost kidnapped Izuku earlier escaped, its eyes fixed on its next target. As fate would have it, the sludge monster came for Bakugo and me. "Vesper, run!" Bakugo shouted, but I didn't want to leave him behind. I stood my ground, ready to face the monster alongside my friend. The sludge monster charged at us, its tentacles flailing wildly. Bakugo and I prepared to defend ourselves, but the monster was too powerful. It caught Bakugo off guard and saw its chance to grab him. I quickly pushed him out of the way, shouting, "Look out!" As I did, the sludge monster turned its attention to me, wrapping its tentacles around my body. I tried to struggle, but it was too strong. The monster's grip tightened, and I felt its slimy flesh entering my mouth, suffocating me. I couldn't breathe, and my vision began to blur. The pain was excruciating as the monster's control spread through my body. I felt like I was being consumed from the inside out. Heroes began to gather, but they hesitated to intervene, unsure of how to deal with the monster. Izuku, who had been watching from a distance, saw me in trouble and didn't think twice. He sprinted towards me at full speed, his eyes fixed on the sludge monster. His determination was clear: he was going to save me, no matter what it took.
