**Chapter 1: Behind the Scenes in Big D**
Part 1
As she expertly blended the shades of eyeshadow on the model's eyelids, Jamie couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement. She had just landed the job as a makeup artist on the set of the hit TV show, Mad Men, and she was about to meet the infamous Jon Hamm, aka Don Draper. She had heard rumors about his charm and good looks, but she wasn't easily starstruck. After all, she was a professional, and this was just another job. Jamie had built a reputation as one of the go-to makeup artists in Dallas, working with top models and celebrities in the city. But this was a whole different level. She had grown up in Dallas, and the idea of working on a major TV show was a dream come true. As she finished up the model's look, she couldn't help but sneak a peek around the set. That's when she saw him - Jon Hamm, standing by the craft services table, sipping a cup of coffee and chatting with one of the writers. Their eyes met, and Jamie felt a jolt of electricity run through her body. He smiled, and she quickly looked away, trying to play it cool. But she couldn't help sneaking another peek. He was even more handsome than she had imagined, with piercing blue eyes and a chiseled jawline. As she worked on the next model, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. What if she messed up? What if she wasn't good enough? Just as she was finishing up, Jon walked over to her station, a confident stride in his step. "Hey, you must be Jamie, our new makeup artist," he said, his deep voice sending shivers down her spine. "I'm Jon." Jamie looked up, meeting his gaze, and smiled. "Hi, Jon. It's great to meet you." She tried to sound calm, but her heart was racing. Jon smiled back, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "The pleasure is all mine, Jamie. I've heard great things about your work." As they chatted, Jamie found herself feeling more and more at ease. Jon was charming and witty, with a quick sense of humor that put her at ease. She couldn't believe how easy it was to talk to him, how much they had in common. Before she knew it, the day was wrapping up, and Jon was walking her off the set. "Hey, Jamie, want to grab a drink with me tonight?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with interest. Jamie's heart skipped a beat. Was this a date? She couldn't tell, but she didn't care. She wanted to spend more time with him. "I'd love to," she said, trying to sound casual. Jon smiled, his face lighting up with pleasure. "Great. I'll pick you up at 7." As Jamie walked off the set, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. She had a feeling that her life was about to change in ways she never could have imagined.
