"Desperate Measures"
Part 2
"Korra, I understand you're upset but, just-" "Not now, Mako," Korra cut in, her voice firm but laced with worry. She paced back and forth in the office, her eyes scanning the room as if searching for any sign of Asami. Mako followed close behind, trying to keep up with her. The young woman who had approached them earlier returned, looking concerned. "I've spoken to Mr. Sato's assistant, and he's agreed to meet with you. But please, Korra, you have to calm down. You're starting to worry everyone here." Korra stopped pacing and turned to face the woman. "I'm worried about Asami," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I need to know she's safe." The woman nodded sympathetically. "I understand. Mr. Sato will do everything he can to help you find her. But first, he needs to speak with you in private." Mako placed a hand on Korra's shoulder, trying to guide her towards the meeting room. But Korra shook him off, her eyes flashing with determination. "I want to know what's going on," she said, her voice rising. "I want to know if Asami was in trouble, if she was working on something that put her in danger." The woman hesitated, then nodded. "I'll go and get Mr. Sato. But please, Korra, try to stay calm." As the woman disappeared into the next room, Korra turned to Mako. "I don't care about being calm," she said, her voice low and urgent. "I care about finding Asami." Mako nodded, his expression serious. "I know, Korra. But we need to work with Mr. Sato if we're going to find her. Let's hear him out, okay?" Korra nodded, her jaw clenched in determination. She was ready to do whatever it took to find Asami. The woman returned, followed by a tall, imposing figure with a stern expression. It was Hiroshi Sato, Asami's father and the CEO of Future Industries. "Korra, I'm sorry to hear about Asami," he said, his voice firm but concerned. "I'll do everything in my power to help you find her. But first, I need to ask you some questions." Korra's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with possibilities. What did Hiroshi Sato know about Asami's disappearance? And what was he hiding?
