**Confronting the Goblin Horde**

Part 12

As they ventured deeper into the forest, the trees grew closer together, casting dappled shadows on the ground. Scorch and Sir Valoric moved stealthily, their eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of the goblin infestation. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves. Suddenly, Scorch's keen senses picked up on a faint rustling in the underbrush. She motioned to Sir Valoric, her hand on the hilt of her sword. "I think we're close," she whispered. As they rounded a bend in the path, a clearing came into view. And with it, a horde of goblins. The creatures were gathered around a makeshift camp, their eyes fixed on Scorch as she emerged into the clearing. The goblins' faces contorted into lewd grins, their eyes roving over Scorch's physique. Her short stack dragon woman body, filled out in all the right places, seemed to have an intoxicating effect on the goblins. They licked their lips, their expressions twisted in arousal. Scorch's eyes narrowed, her face set in a scowl. She was not pleased with the goblins' reaction. Sir Valoric, however, seemed unfazed by the goblins' behavior. He stepped forward, his sword at the ready. "Let's take care of these pests," he said, his voice low and deadly. The goblins, still fixated on Scorch, didn't seem to notice Sir Valoric's approach. That was, until he charged forward, his sword flashing in the sunlight. Scorch took a step back, her eyes fixed on the goblins. She raised her hands, and a blast of dragon's breath shot forth, engulfing a group of goblins in a wave of flame. The creatures shrieked as they stumbled backward, their skin blistering. Sir Valoric took the lead in the battle, his sword slicing through the goblins with deadly precision. Scorch continued to provide cover from a distance, her magic washing over the goblins like a wave. She summoned a burst of sparks, which exploded among the goblins, sending them stumbling. The goblins, still lust-struck by Scorch's presence, seemed disorganized and leaderless. They stumbled about, their attacks wild and uncoordinated. Sir Valoric took advantage of their confusion, cutting them down with ease. As the battle raged on, Scorch's dragon magic continued to rain down on the goblins, weakening them. Sir Valoric's sword sliced through their ranks, and the goblins began to falter. But just as it seemed the battle was won, a particularly large and vicious goblin emerged from the crowd. Its eyes fixed on Scorch, and it let out a cackle. "Gorthok take Scorch!" it snarled, charging forward. Scorch raised an eyebrow, her eyes flashing with amusement. "I don't think so," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. With a flick of her wrist, she summoned a blast of magic, sending the goblin stumbling backward. Sir Valoric took advantage of the opening, his sword flashing in the sunlight as he struck the final blow. The goblin horde lay defeated, their bodies scattered across the clearing. Scorch and Sir Valoric stood victorious, their chests heaving with exertion. As they caught their breath, Scorch turned to Sir Valoric with a grin. "Not bad for a warm-up, eh?" Sir Valoric chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I think we're just getting started."
