"Chapter 63: A Thrilling Ride"

Part 62

As we zip through the city streets, the wind whipping through my hair, I feel a rush of exhilaration. Hawks' strong arms wrap around me, holding me secure as we take the turns. I feel a sense of trust wash over me, and I lean into him, enjoying the thrill of the ride. As we approach the gates of U.A. High School, Hawks slows down, and we cruise to a stop. I hop off the bike, grinning from ear to ear. "Thanks, that was a lot of fun!" I say, still smiling. Hawks chuckles, shutting off the engine. "No problem. I think we should do this more often, no?" he asks, his eyes sparkling with mischief. I feel a flush rise to my cheeks, and I look away, trying to play it cool. "Y-yeah, that sounds like a great idea," I stutter. Hawks notices my reaction, and a teasing glint appears in his eye. "Someone's excited to hang out with me," he says, his voice low and playful. I feel my face grow even hotter, and I shoot him a look, trying to defend myself. But Hawks just chuckles, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Don't be shy, it's okay to admit you had fun," he says, his voice gentle. I take a deep breath, trying to calm down. "I did have fun," I admit, my voice barely above a whisper. Hawks grins, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "I'm glad," he says, walking towards me. "I had fun too." We stand there for a moment, the tension between us palpable. I feel like I'm walking on air, my heart still racing from the excitement of the ride. Hawks looks at me, his eyes searching mine, and for a moment, I think he might say something more. But then, he just smiles and nods. "Let's get going, we've got school to get to." I nod, still feeling a bit flustered, and follow him towards the school gates. As we walk, I catch myself glancing at Hawks, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. What will happen next? And what does Hawks really mean by his teasing comments?
