Chapter 12: Morning After
Part 11
Chapter 12: Morning After The warmth of Levi's arms wrapped around her was the last thing Kenzy remembered before she drifted off to sleep. Now, as she slowly opened her eyes, she was greeted by the golden rays of sunlight peeking through the blinds. Levi was still holding her, his chest rising and falling with each gentle breath. She smiled, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her. As she looked around the room, she noticed that it was quiet, the only sound being Levi's gentle snores. She chuckled to herself, remembering how he had claimed her as his own the night before. The memory of their passionate encounter still lingered, making her skin tingle with excitement. Kenzy gently shifted her body, trying not to disturb Levi. But as she moved, he stirred, his eyes fluttering open. He smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and pulled her closer. "Morning, beautiful," he whispered, his voice husky with sleep. Kenzy smiled, feeling her heart skip a beat. "Morning," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. Levi's hands roamed over her body, his fingers tracing the contours of her skin. "I'm starving," he said, his voice laced with amusement. "I think we need to fuel up for the day." Kenzy laughed, feeling a sense of playfulness wash over her. "You're always hungry," she teased, her eyes sparkling with mirth. Levi grinned, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Hey, I need to keep my strength up to keep you satisfied," he said, his voice laced with innuendo. Kenzy's cheeks flushed as she playfully rolled her eyes. "You're such a charmer," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. As they got out of bed, Kenzy noticed that her phone was buzzing on the nightstand. She picked it up, her eyes scanning the screen. There were several messages from her best friend, Mia, and a few missed calls from her mom. "Hey, I should probably check in with Mia and my mom," Kenzy said, feeling a sense of obligation wash over her. Levi nodded, his eyes understanding. "Yeah, go ahead. I'll go make some breakfast," he said, his voice gentle. As Kenzy began to scroll through her messages, Levi got out of bed and made his way to the kitchen. Kenzy couldn't help but feel grateful for the way things were going between them. For the first time in a long time, she felt like she was exactly where she was meant to be. As she listened to the sounds of Levi cooking in the kitchen, Kenzy felt a sense of peace settle over her. She knew that their relationship was far from perfect, but for now, she was happy to bask in the warmth of their love. With a newfound sense of determination, Kenzy began to type out a response to Mia's messages, her fingers flying across the screen. She was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, as long as Levi was by her side.
