Chapter 5: Road to Recovery

The door to Julie's hospital room swung open once again, and this time, it was Dr. Lee who walked in with a friendly smile. "Good morning, Julie! I see you've had a good meal," he said, glancing at the empty tray on her lap. Julie nodded, feeling a bit more energetic after eating. Yoongi stood up and moved to the side, giving the doctor space to examine her. Dr. Lee began to review her chart, checking her vitals and the progress she had made so far. "You're doing great, Julie," he said, looking up at her. "Your throat is healing nicely, and your overall condition is stable." Julie smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She had been worried about her recovery, but it seemed like she was on the right track. "Now, I think it's time for you to start mobilizing," Dr. Lee said, his eyes sparkling with encouragement. "I want you to get up and walk around the room today. If you feel comfortable with that, I might be able to release you as early as tomorrow." Julie's eyes widened in surprise. She hadn't expected to be discharged so soon, but the thought of going home was exhilarating. Yoongi, who had been quietly observing the conversation, stepped forward. "I'll help her, doctor," he said, his voice filled with determination. Dr. Lee nodded, smiling at Yoongi. "I'm sure you will. Just make sure Julie takes it easy and doesn't overexert herself. I'll come back to check on her later today." With that, Dr. Lee left the room, leaving Julie and Yoongi to prepare for her first steps in a while. Yoongi turned to her, his eyes shining with excitement. "Are you ready, Julie?" he asked, his voice gentle. Julie nodded, feeling a bit apprehensive but also determined to get back on her feet. Yoongi helped her sit up and swung her legs over the side of the bed. She took a deep breath, feeling a bit dizzy, but Yoongi was there to support her. "Let's do this," he said, his voice filled with encouragement. With Yoongi by her side, Julie took her first step, then another, and another, slowly making her way around the room. It wasn't easy, but with every step, she felt a sense of accomplishment and hope. She was one step closer to going home, and with Yoongi's help, she knew she could face anything.
