Chapter 6: A Glimpse of Authenticity

Part 5

The rest of the stream was a blur of gaming, chatting, and laughing. Rafael and I had a great time geeking out over anime, and his audience seemed to enjoy the change of pace. As the stream came to a close, Rafael wrapped things up by thanking his viewers and promising to catch up with them again soon. As we said our goodbyes to the audience, Rafael turned to me and smiled. "Thanks for being a good sport about all that," he said, nodding towards the chat. "I didn't mean to subject you to that kind of chaos." I laughed. "It's okay, I can handle it. Besides, it was kind of fun." Rafael chuckled. "Glad you enjoyed it. So, shall we plan to meet up again tomorrow for work?" I nodded. "Sounds like a plan. What's the schedule looking like?" Rafael pulled out his phone and checked his calendar. "I was thinking we could meet up at 10 am and work on the script some more. We can make some progress on the project and see where we are." I nodded, making a mental note to be ready for tomorrow. "Sounds good to me. I'll see you then." As we parted ways, Rafael walked me out of his studio, and we stood outside for a moment, chatting about nothing in particular. It was a pleasant evening, and I felt like we'd made a good connection. "Hey, thanks again for being on the stream," Rafael said, smiling at me. "I think it was a good idea, and it definitely helped to break the ice." I smiled back at him. "No problem, happy to help. And I'm looking forward to tomorrow." Rafael nodded, and we exchanged a friendly smile before parting ways. As I walked home, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement about our project and about getting to know Rafael better.
