"Chaos Unleashed"
Part 4
Ashley's eyes widened in horror as Leo's face contorted in a mixture of anger and fear. His small fists clenched, and he let out a blood-curdling scream as he charged at her. Ashley tried to protect herself, but it was too late. Leo's tiny hands connected with her stomach, where her unborn child was nestled. Ashley doubled over, gasping in pain, as Jed's face turned beet red with rage. "NO, LEO!" Jed bellowed, his voice echoing through the room. He strode over to Leo, his eyes blazing with anger, and scooped him up in his arms. "You've gone too far this time, young man," he growled, his voice low and menacing. Jed dragged Leo to the naughty chair, a sturdy wooden chair in the corner of the room, and deposited him into it. "Stay here until I say you can get up," Jed ordered, his voice firm but controlled. Leo's face crumpled, and he began to wail, but Jed didn't back down. Ashley, still clutching her stomach, stumbled over to the couch and collapsed onto it. She was in pain, and she was scared. She had been worried about Leo's outbursts, but she had never thought they would escalate to this point. She looked over at Jed, who was standing by the naughty chair, his arms crossed. "Jed, I'm sorry," Ashley whispered, tears streaming down her face. "I feel like I'm failing him. I feel like I'm not doing enough." Jed's expression softened, and he walked over to the couch. He sat down beside Ashley and put a gentle hand on her stomach. "You're not failing him, Ashley," he said, his voice low and soothing. "You're doing the best you can, and that's all anyone can ask for. We'll get through this, together." But for now, Leo sat in the naughty chair, his face red and tear-stained, his small body shaking with sobs. Ashley looked over at him, her heart aching with sadness and worry. What was happening to her child? And how could she help him?
