Chapter 2: The Shipwreck
Part 2
The storm's fury intensified, its wrath unleashing a torrent of rain and wind that threatened to consume the royal ship. King Agnarr's face was set in a determined expression as he struggled to maintain control of the vessel, but Iduna could see the fear lurking in his eyes. She stood beside him, her brown hair whipping about in the wind, her coronet braid coming undone as she clung to the ship's rail. The crew was shouting, their voices barely audible above the din of the storm, as they fought to keep the ship afloat. Iduna's eyes were fixed on Agnarr, her heart racing with fear as the waves crashed against the ship. She knew that they were in grave danger, and her thoughts turned to her daughters, Elsa and Anna, who were waiting for them back in Arendelle. A massive wave crashed over the ship, sending Iduna tumbling to the deck. She scrambled to her feet, her eyes scanning the chaos for Agnarr. She saw him, his face set in a grim expression as he struggled to right the ship. But it was too late. The vessel buckled, its timbers creaking and groaning as it succumbed to the relentless pounding of the waves. Iduna felt herself being swept away, her body tossed about like a ragdoll. She managed to grab onto a piece of debris, clinging to it as the ship went down. She watched in horror as Agnarr was swept away, his form disappearing into the churning waters. "Agnarr!" Iduna screamed, her voice lost in the tempest. She thrashed about, her body wracked with sobs, as she realized that she was alone. The storm raged on, its fury unabated, as Iduna clung to her liferaft, her heart shattered into a million pieces. As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the waves, Iduna's thoughts turned to her daughters, and the life they would have to rebuild without their father. Tears streamed down her face, her body numb, her spirit crushed. The sea, once a majestic and beautiful entity, had become a ruthless destroyer, taking from her the one she loved. The storm slowly began to subside, leaving Iduna alone, adrift, and heartbroken. She clung to her liferaft, her eyes fixed on the horizon, her thoughts consumed by the loss of her beloved Agnarr. She knew that she had to survive, for the sake of her daughters, but the pain of her loss was overwhelming. As night began to fall, Iduna wrapped her arms around her knees, her body shivering with cold and shock. She closed her eyes, her mind reeling with memories of Agnarr, and the life they had shared. She knew that she would never forget him, and that she would carry his memory with her always. The stars twinkled above, their light reflected in the calm waters of the sea. Iduna's eyes drifted shut, her body exhausted, her heart heavy with grief. She knew that she would have to face the future alone, but for now, she just let the waves rock her gently, her spirit broken, her heart shattered.
