"Confronting the Truth"

Part 2

As the ambulance sped away with Sabrina, Kelly, and Nick inside, Samantha's calm demeanor began to crumble. She knew she had to face the consequences of her actions, and she knew it wouldn't be long before Nick confronted her. The studio was in chaos, with the audience and crew members buzzing with worry and speculation. Samantha slowly got up from her seat, her eyes scanning the room for Nick. She knew it wouldn't be long before he came looking for her. And then, she saw him. Nick stormed out of the studio, his eyes blazing with anger and concern. He made a beeline for Samantha, his face set in a determined expression. "Samantha, we need to talk," he said, his voice low and menacing. Samantha's eyes darted around the room, searching for an escape, but Nick blocked her path. "What did you do, Samantha?" he demanded, his voice rising. Samantha's face paled, and she took a step back. "I don't know what you're talking about," she stammered. Nick's eyes narrowed. "Don't play dumb with me, Samantha. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Sabrina's allergies are public knowledge. Everyone knows about them. You can't seriously think you could get away with this." Samantha's eyes flashed with defensiveness, but Nick cut her off. "Sabrina could have died, Samantha. She could have died on live television, in front of thousands of people. Do you have any idea how serious that is?" Samantha's face crumpled, and she looked down at her feet. "I didn't mean to hurt her," she muttered. Nick's expression turned incredulous. "You didn't mean to hurt her? Are you kidding me? You deliberately made her a smoothie with ingredients she's severely allergic to. That's not an accident, Samantha. That's premeditated." The studio fell silent, with the audience and crew members watching the drama unfold. Samantha's eyes welled up with tears, but Nick wasn't having it. "You're going to have to do better than that, Samantha. You're going to have to take responsibility for your actions. I'm going to make sure you pay for what you did to Sabrina." As Nick's words hung in the air, Kelly walked back into the studio, her face etched with concern. "Nick, how is she?" she asked, referring to Sabrina. Nick's expression turned grim. "She's going to be okay, but Samantha here thought it would be a good idea to try and kill her on live television." The studio erupted into gasps and whispers, and Samantha's face turned bright red. Kelly's eyes narrowed, and she took a step forward. "Samantha, you're going to have to leave. Now." As the security guards approached Samantha, Nick's phone rang. He answered it, his eyes locked on Samantha. "What?" he said, his voice curt. The person on the other end of the line said something that made Nick's face turn white. "I'll be right there," he said, before hanging up. "What's going on?" Kelly asked, her voice concerned. Nick's expression turned grim. "The hospital just called. Sabrina's condition is worse than they thought. I need to go." As Nick turned to leave, he shot Samantha a warning glance. "This isn't over, Samantha. Not by a long shot."
