"Midnight Rescue"
Part 6
Sirius's hands were still bound behind his back, but his mind was racing with thoughts of escape and rescue. As the Death Eaters dragged him and his friends to the cells, he pretended to stumble, using the distraction to slip free from his restraints. The others didn't notice, too caught up in their own despair. With a burst of speed, Sirius broke free and sprinted down the corridor, his heart pounding in his chest. He had to find Hermione, had to make sure she was okay. The sound of her scream still echoed in his mind, and he couldn't shake the feeling of dread that had settled in his stomach. As he turned a corner, he heard a faint cry for help. His heart skipped a beat as he recognized Hermione's voice. He followed the sound to a door that was slightly ajar, and he pushed it open with a burst of adrenaline. Inside, he found Hermione, her eyes wide with fear, her face pale and drawn. And standing over her, his eyes blazing with a fierce and unnatural energy, was Thoros, Hermione's father. Sirius's instincts kicked in, and he rushed forward, his body shielding Hermione from the Dark wizard. "Get away from her!" Sirius growled, his eyes flashing with anger. Thoros sneered, his eyes flashing with contempt. "You think you can protect her, Black?" he spat. "You think you're worthy of standing between me and my daughter?" Sirius stood his ground, his body tense and ready to defend Hermione. "I won't let you harm her," he said, his voice firm and resolute. Thoros snarled, his wand flashing in the dim light. But before he could cast a spell, Sirius was ready for him. With a swift movement, he disarmed Thoros, sending his wand flying across the room. Thoros's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly regained his composure. "You may have won this small battle," he sneered, "but you'll never leave this place alive." Sirius didn't flinch. He stood tall, his eyes locked on Thoros, his body shielding Hermione from harm. For a moment, the two men locked gazes, the air thick with tension. Then, with a swift movement, Sirius grabbed Hermione's hand and pulled her to safety, shielding her with his body as they backed away from Thoros. "We're getting out of here," he whispered, his eyes scanning the room for an escape route. Hermione nodded, her eyes wide with fear, but she didn't hesitate. Together, the two of them made a run for it, Thoros's angry shouts echoing behind them.
