**Chapter 2: Teasing Begins**

Part 2

The Justice League sprang into action, responding to a distress call from the authorities. Clark Kent, aka Superman, found himself paired with Hal Jordan, aka Green Lantern, as they soared through the skies in their super-powered flight. Their mission was to take down a powerful robot that was wreaking havoc on the city. As they approached the robot, Clark's gaze began to wander, drifting towards Hal's physique. He couldn't help but notice the way Hal's muscles flexed as he flew, his body a blur of motion as he generated powerful force fields to blast the robot. Clark stumbled, his concentration wavering, and Hal caught him with a quick glance. "Hey, Supes, you okay?" Hal asked, a hint of amusement in his voice. "You seem a little...distracted." Clark's face flushed as he quickly regained his composure. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just...just getting into position." Hal chuckled, nudging Clark playfully with his elbow. "Sure you are, buddy. You're just...admiring my flying skills, right?" The other Justice League members, who were battling the robot's minions on the ground, caught on to the exchange and began to tease Clark mercilessly. Batman's voice came through the comms system, dry as ever. "It seems Superman has found a new weakness, team. Someone get him a pair of binoculars." Wonder Woman chuckled, her voice sparkling with amusement. "I think Clark's just trying to get a closer look at Hal's...aerial acrobatics." The teasing continued, with the Justice League members playfully joking about Clark's "crush" on Hal. Clark's face grew hotter, his embarrassment and frustration mounting. He tried to focus on the mission, but it was hard to ignore the good-natured jokes and snide comments. As they fought the robot, Clark found himself stumbling more and more, his gaze drifting back to Hal again and again. Hal, on the other hand, seemed to be enjoying the banter, playfully teasing Clark and making light of the situation. After they defeated the robot, the Justice League gathered on the rooftop, victorious but also a little battered. Clark tried to make a joke, but Hal beat him to it. "Hey, Supes, I think I've found my new partner," Hal said, grinning. "We make a killer team – and I'm not just talking about our flying skills." The team erupted into laughter, and Clark shook his head, laughing along with them. He knew he was in for a long haul, but he also knew he couldn't let his fixation get the best of him. Not when he had a team to rely on, and a mission to complete. As they flew back to the Justice League headquarters, Clark caught Hal's eye, and for a moment, they just looked at each other. Clark felt a spark of connection, and he knew that this was just the beginning of a long and winding road.
