Chapter 5: Return to Arendelle
Part 5
The sun was setting over the horizon as Iduna's boat docked at the Arendelle harbor. She stood up, her movements stiff from the ordeal she had endured, and gazed out at the familiar buildings of her kingdom. A mix of emotions swirled inside her - relief to be back home, grief for the loss of Agnarr, and anxiety about facing her daughters. As she stepped off the boat, Iduna was greeted by the sight of Elsa and Anna, their faces etched with worry and relief. They rushed towards her, their arms open wide, and Iduna felt a lump form in her throat. She had missed them so much, and she was grateful to be reunited with them. "Mother!" Elsa exclaimed, her voice trembling as she wrapped her arms around Iduna. "Iduna!" Anna chimed in, hugging her tightly. "We were so worried about you!" Iduna hugged them back, feeling a sense of comfort and peace wash over her. She had been through a terrible ordeal, but she was home now, and she had her daughters to support her. As they walked towards the palace, Iduna couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness. Agnarr was gone, and she would never see him again. She remembered the way he used to smile at her, the way he used to hold her hand. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes, but she pushed them back, focusing on the present. The palace staff and guards greeted Iduna warmly, their faces filled with concern. Iduna smiled weakly, grateful for their kindness. She knew she had a long road to recovery ahead of her, but she was determined to face it head-on. As they entered the palace, Iduna was greeted by the familiar sights and sounds of home. She felt a sense of peace settle over her, and she knew that she was exactly where she was meant to be. Elsa and Anna helped Iduna to her chambers, where a warm bath and a comfortable bed awaited her. Iduna sank into the bath, feeling the warmth seep into her bones. She closed her eyes, letting out a sigh of relief. As she lay in bed, Iduna felt a sense of exhaustion wash over her. She had been through so much, and she needed to rest. But even as she drifted off to sleep, she knew that she would face the challenges ahead, as long as she had her daughters by her side. The next few days passed in a blur of rest and recovery. Iduna slowly began to rebuild her strength, and she started to adjust to life without Agnarr. She knew it would take time, but she was determined to move forward, for the sake of her daughters and her kingdom. As she sat in the palace gardens, surrounded by the beauty of nature, Iduna felt a sense of hope rise up within her. She would get through this, and she would emerge stronger and wiser on the other side. She glanced down at her hair, which had been styled in a coronet braid, a comforting ritual that reminded her of her life with Agnarr and the girls. Iduna's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Elsa and Anna's laughter, carrying on the breeze. She smiled, feeling a sense of joy and gratitude. She was home, and she was exactly where she was meant to be.
