"Aftershocks of Eternity"
Part 13
The celestial bodies stood frozen, their eyes fixed on the distant explosion that had ravaged their family. The shockwave from the nova had reached them, and the expelled gravity weighed heavily on their masses, a constant reminder of what they had lost. Mercury's usually stoic face was etched with sorrow, his eyes welling up with tears as he gazed into the void. Venus's expression was one of anguish, her body trembling as she held Mars in a tight hug. Mars's wails of despair echoed through the emptiness, his small body shaking with sobs. "Why did they have to go?" he cried out, his voice cracking with emotional pain. Venus held him closer, trying to comfort him as her own tears streamed down her face. Earth stood beside them, her own heart heavy with grief. She wrapped her arms around Luna and Titan, holding them close as they both succumbed to their emotions. Titan sobbed uncontrollably in Luna's arms, his body shaking with the force of his cries. Luna tried to comfort him, her own tears falling as she held him tight. Uranus and Neptune stood together, their faces etched with sorrow. Neptune hid her face with her hands, her body shaking with sobs. Uranus wrapped an arm around her, trying to hold her close as he too struggled to come to terms with their loss. The gas giants, Jupiter and Saturn, were gone, and with them, the very fabric of their solar system had been torn apart. The planets stood there, frozen in time, as the reality of their situation sunk in. They no longer had a sun, no longer had gas giants to guide and protect them. The thought was almost too much to bear. The ache in their hearts was a palpable thing, a wound that would take a long time to heal. As they stood there, the gravity from the explosion continued to wash over them, a constant reminder of what they had lost. The celestial bodies were left to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives, to try and find a way to move forward in a universe that seemed determined to tear them apart. In the silence, Earth whispered a promise to her children, Luna and Titan. "We'll get through this, together," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. But as she looked around at the devastation, she couldn't help but wonder if they would ever find their way again. The aftershocks of eternity had left them all reeling, and it seemed that the road to recovery would be long and arduous.
