Tender Care
Part 4
The soft beeps of the life support systems created a soothing melody that filled the room, and I could sense that it was nighttime. The dim red lights that lined the walls cast a warm glow on Hanji's face as she bustled around the room, preparing a specialized formula for me. She carefully measured out the ingredients, her eyes focused intently on the task at hand. As she worked, I couldn't help but feel a sense of vulnerability wash over me. I was lying in a bed, unable to care for myself, and Hanji was taking care of me like a child. But as I looked into her eyes, I saw only kindness and concern, and my feelings of embarrassment began to dissipate. Hanji finished preparing the formula and poured it into a baby bottle. She walked over to my bed and gently sat down beside me, cradling the bottle in her hand. "Time to eat, little one," she said, her voice soft and soothing. I felt a surge of embarrassment as she brought the bottle to my lips, but Hanji just smiled and encouraged me to suck. I hesitated for a moment, but my hunger and thirst won out, and I began to suck on the bottle. The formula was sweet and nourishing, and I felt my strength begin to return as I drank. As I suckled on the bottle, Hanji stroked my hair, her touch gentle and comforting. I felt my eyes growing heavy, and I knew that I was drifting off to sleep. But just as I was about to doze off, I felt a sensation of wetness in my diaper. Hanji noticed my discomfort and gently set the bottle aside. "Time for a diaper change, I think," she said, her voice soft. I felt a surge of embarrassment as Hanji carefully lifted me up and began to undo the tabs on my diaper. She gently and slowly changed my diaper, her hands moving with a tender care that made me feel like a child. As she wiped my butt with a warm cloth, I felt a sense of vulnerability wash over me, but Hanji's gentle touch and soothing words made me feel at ease. As she put a new diaper on me, I couldn't help but feel grateful for her care. She tucked me back into bed, pulling the blankets up to my chin. "There, all clean and comfortable," she said, smiling down at me. I smiled back at her, feeling a sense of peace wash over me. As I drifted off to sleep, I knew that I was in good hands with Hanji. She would take care of me, nurse me back to health, and help me face whatever challenges lay ahead. And as I slept, I felt her hand on my forehead, her fingers gentle and soothing, a constant reminder of her love and care.
