Chapter 1: The Unassuming Mortal
Part 1
Althea lived a simple life in ancient Greece, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the marketplace. She was an intelligent and resourceful young woman, often found scribbling notes and reading scrolls in her spare time. Her friends and family admired her sharp mind, but Althea didn't let her intellect go to her head. She was humble and kind, always willing to lend a helping hand. As she went about her daily routine, Althea couldn't help but notice the gods and goddesses that walked among the mortals. They were a constant presence, often intervening in the affairs of humans. Zeus, the king of the gods, was a particularly imposing figure. Althea had seen him on several occasions, and he always seemed to be in a hurry, his attention divided among the many mortals and gods that sought his counsel. One day, as Althea was shopping for groceries, she overheard Zeus conversing with a group of gods. "She's just chillin'," he said with a dismissive wave of his hand. "Not worthy of my attention." Althea wondered who he was talking about, but the gods and goddesses quickly dispersed, leaving her to ponder the mystery. Unbeknownst to Althea, Athena, the goddess of wisdom, had been watching her from afar. Athena's eyes had been fixed on Althea for some time, and she was increasingly fascinated by the mortal's intelligence and independence. Athena saw something in Althea that no one else did – a spark of potential that could be fanned into a flame. As the sun began to set, Althea returned to her small home, lost in thought. She had a feeling that her life was about to change, but she couldn't quite put her finger on what it was. Little did she know, Athena's interest in her was only the beginning. Athena stood on a nearby rooftop, her eyes fixed on Althea's home. A subtle smile played on her lips as she contemplated the mortal's future. "You have no idea what's in store for you, Althea," Athena whispered to herself, her voice barely audible over the wind. The goddess's mind was already racing with plans to bring Althea into her life, to guide her toward greatness. Athena's obsession had begun, and nothing would ever be the same for Althea again. As the stars began to twinkle in the night sky, Athena vanished into the shadows, her presence forgotten by the mortals below. But Althea's life was about to become a whirlwind of change, all sparked by the goddess's fascination with her. The question was, would Althea be able to resist Athena's advances, or would she succumb to the goddess's will? Only time would tell.
