## Chapter 2: The Search for Asami
Part 2
As Hiroshi led Korra and Mako to Asami's team, Korra's anxiety grew. She had a feeling that something was off, and she couldn't shake the sense that Asami was in trouble. When they arrived at the conference room where Asami's team was waiting, Korra's eyes scanned the room, searching for any sign of her partner. The team, a group of young and talented engineers, looked up at Korra and Mako with a mixture of concern and curiosity. Hiroshi introduced Korra and Mako, and then asked the team if they had any information about Asami's whereabouts. The team leader, a young woman named Lian, spoke up. "Asami was working on a project with us until yesterday afternoon," she said. "She said she was going to meet with a potential investor, but she didn't give us any details about the meeting or the investor." Korra's eyes narrowed. "Do you know anything about the investor?" she asked. Lian shook her head. "No, Asami didn't tell us anything. But she seemed...nervous, I guess. She was usually very focused, but yesterday she seemed distracted." Mako spoke up. "Did she say anything about her plans for the rest of the day?" One of the engineers, a quiet-looking man named Jax, spoke up. "I saw her leave with a package," he said. "It was a small box, wrapped in brown paper. She said she had to deliver it to someone." Korra's heart skipped a beat. "Did you see who she was meeting?" she asked. Jax shook his head. "No, I didn't see anyone. But I did see her get into a car. It was a black sedan, with tinted windows." Hiroshi's expression turned serious. "That's not good," he said. "I'll see if I can get any information about the car. In the meantime, let's review Asami's work and see if there's anything that might give us a lead." As the team began to review Asami's work, Korra's mind was racing. Who was Asami meeting? And what was in the package? She had a feeling that she was getting close to finding out, but she couldn't shake the sense that she was running out of time. Just as Korra was starting to feel like they were making progress, her phone buzzed. She pulled it out, and her heart sank. It was a text from an unknown number. "Asami is safe," the text read. "But she's in a place where she can't contact you. Meet me at the old clock tower at midnight if you want to see her." Korra's eyes met Mako's, and she knew that they had to go. But she also knew that they couldn't trust the mysterious texter. This could be a trap.
