Chapter 13: Forever Found

Part 13

The warmth of Eric's breath on her ear sent shivers down Maya's spine as he whispered his promise to make her happy. She felt like she was melting into his arms, her heart overflowing with love and adoration for the man who had captured her soul. As they lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, Maya knew that she had found her forever home. In the days that followed, Maya and Eric's love continued to grow. They spent every spare moment together, exploring the city, trying new restaurants, and laughing until their sides hurt. Maya had never felt this way about anyone before, and she couldn't believe her luck. One sunny afternoon, Eric took Maya on a surprise picnic to the park. He packed a basket with all her favorite foods, and they spent the day lounging on a blanket, watching the clouds drift lazily by. As they sat together, Eric turned to Maya and said, "I have a special plan for tonight." Maya's curiosity was piqued, and she looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "What is it?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Eric just smiled and said, "You'll have to wait and see." Maya's heart skipped a beat as she wondered what he had planned. As the sun began to set, Eric gathered up the remains of their picnic and they headed back to his car. Maya couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation as they drove through the city. She had no idea where they were going, but she knew that it was going to be special. As they pulled up to a beautiful waterfront restaurant, Maya's eyes widened in surprise. "This is where we had our first date," she said, her voice filled with emotion. Eric smiled and took her hand. "I know," he said. "I wanted to recreate the magic of that night, but this time, I want to make it even more special." Maya's heart melted as Eric led her into the restaurant. They were greeted by the maître d', who showed them to a beautiful table overlooking the water. As they sat down, Maya couldn't help but feel like she was on cloud nine. The dinner was exquisite, and the company was even better. Maya and Eric talked and laughed, their love growing with every passing minute. As the night drew to a close, Eric took Maya's hand and led her outside to the patio. The sky was filled with stars, and the water sparkled like diamonds in the moonlight. Eric turned to Maya and said, "From the moment I met you, I knew that you were special. I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy, Maya. Will you marry me?" Maya's heart skipped a beat as Eric pulled out a small box and opened it, revealing a beautiful diamond ring. Tears of joy streamed down her face as she nodded eagerly. "Yes, yes, a million times yes!" she exclaimed, as Eric slid the ring onto her finger. As they hugged and kissed, Maya knew that she had found her forever, and she was grateful for every moment they had shared. The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in their own little bubble of love and happiness.
