**Chapter 1: A Typical Morning**

Part 1

The sun was shining brightly through the windows of Vassago's cozy little apartment, casting a warm glow over the entire room. Vassago, a demon prince with a passion for cooking, was busy in the kitchen, whipping up a hearty breakfast for him and his boyfriend, Blitz. He cracked eggs into a bowl, added a dash of salt and pepper, and began to scramble them with a flourish. As he cooked, Vassago couldn't help but hum along to the music playing in the background. He was feeling particularly cheerful today, and he couldn't wait to share his delicious breakfast with Blitz. Just as Vassago was about to plate their meal, Blitz walked into the kitchen, his phone still clutched in his hand. "Mmm, something smells amazing in here," he said, giving Vassago a quick peck on the cheek. Vassago beamed with pride. "I made your favorite – scrambled eggs and bacon," he said, handing Blitz a plate. Blitz's eyes widened as he took in the spread before him. "You really outdid yourself this time, Vass," he said, digging in. As Blitz ate, Vassago couldn't help but notice that he was texting on his phone. At first, Vassago thought nothing of it – Blitz often responded to work messages or chatted with his friends during breakfast. But as he glanced over at Blitz's phone, he saw that the messages were from someone named "Lilah." Vassago's heart sank. Who was Lilah? And why was Blitz texting her during breakfast? Vassago tried to brush off the feeling of unease, telling himself he was being ridiculous. After all, Blitz was his boyfriend, and he would never cheat on him. But as he watched Blitz's fingers fly across the screen, a pang of jealousy crept in. Was Blitz seeing someone else behind his back? The thought made Vassago's stomach twist with anxiety. "Hey, babe, can I ask you something?" Vassago said, trying to sound casual. Blitz looked up from his phone, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "What's up, Vass?" Vassago tried to keep his tone light, but he couldn't help but feel a little suspicious. "Who's Lilah?" he asked, nodding towards Blitz's phone. Blitz's expression changed in an instant, and he quickly put his phone away. "Oh, just a coworker," he said, his voice a little too quick. "We're working on a project together." Vassago raised an eyebrow. He didn't believe Blitz for a second. "At 8 am on a Saturday?" he asked, his voice dripping with skepticism. Blitz sighed, putting down his fork. "Vass, I can explain –" But Vassago wasn't interested in hearing it. He felt a wave of anger and hurt wash over him, and he suddenly lost his appetite. "Forget it, Blitz," he said, pushing his plate away. "I'm going to go take a walk." As Vassago stormed out of the kitchen, Blitz called out after him. "Vass, wait! Please, let's talk about this –" But Vassago was already gone, leaving Blitz to wonder what he had just gotten himself into.
