"Calming the Storm"

"Ok guys, let's calm down," I say, trying to reason with them, but my hands start shaking as I hold them up in a placating gesture. I can feel my heart racing in my chest, and my voice comes out a little higher than I intended. "Me and Shinso only went on one date, ok? I'm sorry I keep doing this, but please just don't be jealous." The room falls silent again, and I can feel all eyes on me. Bakugo's expression is still dark and stormy, but I can see a flicker of surprise in Deku's eyes. Kirishima and Kaminari look at each other uncertainly, while Todoroki's face is a mask of calm concern. Mina, however, seems to realize that I'm starting to get scared. She takes a step forward, her eyes scanning the room as she says, "Hey guys, calm down. Vesper is getting scared." Her voice is gentle, but it carries a hint of warning. Bakugo's gaze snaps to me, and for a moment, I think I see a glimmer of concern in his eyes. But then his expression hardens again, and he growls, "Scared? Of us?" I take a step back, my heart racing faster. "No, no, it's just...I didn't mean to cause any trouble," I stammer. Shinso steps forward, his eyes locked on Bakugo. "I think we've all gotten a little carried away here," he says, his voice calm and soothing. "Vesper and I went on one date, that's all. It's not a big deal." But Bakugo's not having it. He takes a step closer to Shinso, his eyes blazing with intensity. "You're not from around here, are you?" he says, his voice low and menacing. "You don't know how things work here." I can feel the tension in the room building again, and I know I have to intervene before things escalate further. "Guys, please," I say, my voice shaking. "Just calm down and talk about this." Mina steps forward, her eyes flashing with warning. "Bakugo, stop it," she says, her voice firm. "You're scaring Vesper." Bakugo's gaze snaps to Mina, and for a moment, I think I see a glimmer of uncertainty in his eyes. But then his expression hardens again, and he turns back to me. "Fine," he says, his voice cold. "But this isn't over, Vesper."
