Chapter 7: New Beginnings
Part 7
The sun was shining brightly as Sabrina's limousine pulled up to the grand entrance of her mansion, its stone façade gleaming in the morning light. She had been in the hospital for what felt like an eternity, and she was finally going home. Nick sat beside her, holding her hand and smiling at her as she gazed out the window. As the chauffeur helped Sabrina out of the limousine, Nick couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. She was finally home, and he was finally going to be able to take care of her properly. Sabrina's eyes sparkled with excitement as she took in the sight of her sprawling estate, its gardens lush and green. The mansion's staff was waiting for her at the door, beaming with smiles and welcoming her back home. Sabrina's housekeeper, Mrs. Jenkins, rushed forward to help her with her coat and bag, while Nick took charge of her wheelchair, expertly maneuvering it into the foyer. As they entered the mansion, Sabrina's eyes widened with nostalgia. Everything looked exactly as she had left it, from the sweeping staircase to the crystal chandeliers. But there was one major difference – Nick was now a permanent fixture in her life, and he would be living here with her. The thought sent a shiver down her spine as she gazed at Nick, who was busy chatting with Mrs. Jenkins about the arrangements for her recovery. She couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement at the prospect of starting a new life with him. As they made their way to her bedroom, Sabrina couldn't help but notice the changes that Nick had made while she was in the hospital. Her room was now filled with flowers, and her favorite books and music were laid out on her nightstand. It was clear that Nick had been busy making himself at home. Over the next few days, Sabrina settled into a comfortable routine, with Nick by her side every step of the way. He helped her with her physical therapy, fed her, and even did her laundry. She was amazed at how easily he had slipped into the role of caregiver, and she couldn't help but feel grateful for his presence in her life. As the days turned into weeks, Sabrina began to regain her strength, and Nick started to make plans for their future together. He had already started making changes to the mansion, adding a new wing to accommodate his own belongings. It was clear that he was here to stay, and Sabrina couldn't be happier. One evening, as they sat on the patio watching the sunset, Nick turned to Sabrina and said, "I've been thinking. Now that you're getting better, I think it's time we start making plans for our future." Sabrina's heart skipped a beat as she gazed at him, her mind racing with possibilities. "What kind of plans?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Nick smiled and took her hand, his eyes locked onto hers. "Plans for our life together. I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy, Sabrina. I want to wake up every morning with you by my side." Sabrina's heart swelled with emotion as she smiled back at him. "I want that too, Nick. I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
