Chapter 87: Stealthy Morning Escapade
Part 86
The warm glow of the morning sun peeked through the blinds of Caleb's room, casting a gentle light on the three of them. As they lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, they knew that they couldn't stay in bed forever. The reality of their situation began to set in, and they knew they had to be careful about how they handled it. "Time to get up," Moana said, her voice soft and gentle. "We need to get dressed and figure out how to get out of here without anyone noticing." Anna nodded, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "We don't want to raise any suspicions," she said. "Not yet, at least." Caleb yawned, stretching his arms above his head. "You're right," he said. "Let's get dressed and sneak out of here." The three of them quickly got out of bed, and began to get dressed in the clothes they had worn the night before. They moved quietly, trying not to make any noise that might alert Caleb's roommates or family members. As they finished dressing, Moana looked around the room, making sure they hadn't left anything behind. "Okay, I think we're good to go," she said. Anna nodded, smoothing out her hair. "Let's do this," she said. Caleb grinned, feeling a sense of excitement and adventure. "Stealth mode activated," he said. The three of them crept out of Caleb's room, closing the door behind them. They stood in the hallway, listening for any signs of movement or noise. But the hallway was quiet, and they breathed a collective sigh of relief. "Okay, let's go," Moana whispered, leading the way down the stairs. They moved quietly, trying not to draw attention to themselves. As they reached the bottom of the stairs, they could hear the sounds of breakfast being prepared in the kitchen. "Let's go act normal," Anna said, smiling at the other two. "Like nothing happened." Caleb nodded, falling into step beside them. "Right," he said. "Let's play it cool." The three of them walked into the kitchen, trying to blend in with the rest of the family. Caleb's mom was cooking up a storm, and the smell of pancakes and bacon filled the air. "Morning, guys," she said, smiling at Caleb and his roommates. "How's everyone doing today?" Caleb, Moana, and Anna exchanged a glance, before responding in unison. "Good, thanks," they said, trying to sound as normal as possible. But as they sat down at the table, Caleb couldn't help but steal glances at Moana and Anna. He knew that their relationship was still in its early stages, and that they had a lot to navigate. But for now, he was just happy to be with them, to enjoy the thrill of their secret.
