### Entangled Fates

Part 3

Ariah's eyes widened as she heard Finney's voice on the other end of the phone, weak and desperate. She had been searching for him everywhere, using her clairvoyant abilities and her mom's hoodoo practices to track his location. The visions and dreams she had been having were becoming more vivid, and she knew that Finney was in grave danger. With a surge of adrenaline, Ariah turned around and sprinted back to her house, determined to tell her mom what she had just heard. Celeste was sitting in the living room, her eyes closed as if in prayer. "Mom, I heard Finney's voice," Ariah exclaimed, out of breath. "He's being held captive in a basement, and I think I know where it is." Celeste's eyes snapped open, and she sat up straight. "Where is it, child?" she asked, her voice low and urgent. Ariah took a deep breath and described the house she had seen in her visions. Celeste listened intently, her face growing more serious by the second. "We have to go there, now," Celeste said, standing up. "But we need to be careful. If the Grabber is involved, we can't trust anyone." Ariah nodded, and together they set out to rescue Finney. As they approached the house, Ariah felt a sense of unease growing inside her. The house was dark and foreboding, with overgrown gardens and boarded-up windows. But before they could enter the house, Ariah was suddenly grabbed from behind, a cloth covering her face. She struggled and kicked, but it was no use. When the cloth was removed, she found herself in the same soundproof basement as Finney. Finney's eyes widened as he saw Ariah standing in front of him, a mixture of relief and fear on his face. "Ariah?" he whispered, his voice shaking. Ariah smiled weakly and took a step closer to him. "I'm here, Finney. I'm not going to let anything happen to you." As they hugged each other tightly, Finney heard the sound of footsteps coming from upstairs. The Grabber was coming. Finney and Ariah quickly pulled away from each other, trying to compose themselves. They knew they had to work together if they were going to survive. The Grabber appeared at the top of the stairs, a twisted grin on his face. "Welcome to my home, Finney," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "And you've brought a friend." Finney and Ariah exchanged a nervous glance, but they stood their ground. They knew they had to protect each other. As the Grabber began to taunt them, Finney noticed the black rotary phone on the wall. He remembered the whispers he had heard earlier, and he knew that the spirits of the Grabber's previous victims were trying to communicate with him. "Ariah, I think I can hear the voices of the other kids," Finney whispered, his eyes locked on the phone. "They're trying to help us." Ariah's eyes widened, and she nodded. "Let's listen," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Together, they approached the phone, and Finney picked up the receiver. The whispers grew louder, and Finney's eyes lit up with understanding. "We have to dig a tunnel," Finney said, his voice filled with determination. "And we have to do it now." Ariah nodded, and they began to work on their escape plan, using the information from the spirits to guide them. They knew it wouldn't be easy, but they were determined to survive, no matter what it took. As they worked, Finney and Ariah's bond grew stronger. They knew they could trust each other, and they were determined to make it out of the basement alive. The spirits of the Grabber's previous victims guided them, providing crucial information to aid in their escape. Finney and Ariah worked together, using their resourcefulness and courage to overcome the obstacles in their path. And as they dug their tunnel, Finney and Ariah knew that their fates were entangled, forever linked by their shared experience. They were determined to escape, and to make the most of their second chance. With every passing moment, Finney and Ariah grew closer, their bond strengthened by their shared determination to survive. They knew that they would face challenges, but they were ready to face them together. The darkness of the basement was illuminated by the faint light of the tunnel, and Finney and Ariah's hearts beat with hope. They were going to make it out, together.
