"Behind the Spotlight"
Part 2
The air was thick with tension as Woo Young continued to circle around Hana, his eyes never leaving hers. Hana stood her ground, her shoulders back and her chin held high, despite the flush rising to her cheeks. She could feel Woo Young's gaze like a physical touch, making her skin prickle with unease. Woo Young stopped in front of her, his eyes glinting with amusement. "So, Hana, I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed," he said, his voice low and husky. "I was expecting someone... more polished. More experienced." Hana's eyes narrowed, her grip on her portfolio tightening. "I've worked with several local brands, and I've studied design at a top university," she repeated, her voice steady. "I'm confident in my abilities." Woo Young chuckled, the sound low and mocking. "Local brands? University? That's adorable, Hana. But let me tell you, in this industry, it's not just about book smarts or connections. It's about style, about flair, about being able to think on your feet." He took a step closer to her, his eyes burning with intensity. "And I have to say, I'm not convinced you're the right person for the job." Hana felt a surge of anger at his condescending tone, but she bit back her retort. Instead, she smiled sweetly, her eyes never leaving Woo Young's face. "I understand your concerns, Woo Young," she said, her voice dripping with sweetness. "But I'm willing to prove myself. I'm willing to work hard and show you what I can do." Woo Young's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing. For a moment, Hana thought she saw a glimmer of respect in his eyes, but it was quickly extinguished. "Very well," he said, his voice curt. "I'll give you a chance to prove yourself. But let me make one thing clear: I expect nothing but the best from my team. And if you can't deliver, you're out." Hana nodded, her heart racing with excitement. She knew she had a lot to prove, but she was ready for the challenge. As she turned to leave, Woo Young's voice stopped her. "Hana?" She turned back to him, her eyes questioning. "Yes?" Woo Young's eyes glinted with mischief. "Don't think for a second that just because you're a pretty face, you can get by on charm alone. I'll be watching you, Hana. Closely." Hana's cheeks flushed, but she smiled sweetly, her eyes never leaving Woo Young's face. "I'm not just a pretty face, Woo Young," she said, her voice husky. "I'm a talented stylist, and I'm going to prove it to you." As she walked out of the dressing room, Hana felt a sense of determination wash over her. She was ready to take on Woo Young and the world of K-pop. Little did she know, she was in for a wild ride.
