Chapter 2: Reanimated

Part 2

Reanimated Stevie's words hung in the air as the door to the green room creaked open. A figure stumbled in, its eyes cloudy and its skin a pale, decaying color. Rhett's face lit up with excitement as he took a step forward. "Link! It's working!" he exclaimed. The figure lurched forward, its arms outstretched. Stevie and Rhett quickly sprang into action, grabbing nearby restraints to secure the zombie. "Okay, we need to make sure he doesn't get loose," Rhett said, his eyes scanning the room for anything that could be used to restrain Link. Stevie nodded, and together they set to work securing the zombie. First, they wrapped him in thick, heavy-duty straps, cinching them tight around his torso and limbs. The straps were made of a durable material that would be difficult for even a strong zombie to break. Next, they attached a series of chains to Link's wrists and ankles, anchoring him to the floor. The chains were thick and heavy, with large metal hooks that dug deep into the floor. But they didn't stop there. They also covered Link's mouth with a thick layer of duct tape, securing it in place with additional strips of tape wrapped around his head. Fourth, they placed a large, metal straitjacket around Link's torso, cinching it tight with a series of metal buckles. The straitjacket was designed to restrict movement, making it even harder for Link to break free. Fifth, they locked Link's legs in a pair of heavy metal stocks, similar to those used in medieval times. The stocks were secured to the floor, ensuring that Link couldn't move his legs. Finally, they fitted Link with a helmet-like device that covered his head and neck. The device was made of thick, reinforced metal and had a series of straps that secured it in place. With Link securely restrained, Stevie stepped back to survey their handiwork. But as she looked at Link, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. He looked...uncomfortable. "Rhett, do you think he's okay?" Stevie asked, her voice hesitant. Rhett turned to look at Link, and his expression faltered. "I...I don't know," he said. "I didn't think about how he might feel." Stevie nodded, her eyes fixed on Link's struggling form. "Maybe we should try to make him more comfortable," she suggested. Rhett nodded, and together they began to adjust the restraints, trying to find a balance between keeping Link secure and making him as comfortable as possible. But as they worked, Stevie couldn't shake the feeling that they were playing with forces they didn't fully understand.
